Swelling Tips
  • Relax – stress free zones only
  • Don’t fight it
  • When you swell, kick your feet up and give it up
  • Go slow and don’t overdo it!  Your body will kick you back.
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Stay away from processed foods – SODIUM BOMBS
  • Ice packs – use bags of frozen peas
  • Massage the area
My Aching Back – you must do gentle stretching
  • Lay on the bed with your knees bent and feet flat on the mattress.  At a slow pace lower your legs flat.  Lay like this for a few minutes at a time.  Do this several times a day.  This will take you some time, but keep at it and your aching lower back will ease up.
  • Apply heat or ice packs – which ever feels better to you at the time
  • Massage the lower back

My weight is 176 would a size b breast look ok on me?

Your doctor will really make this determination.  Check out what some of our doctors have to say about How Small Can I Go for Breast Reduction?

My best advice is to really communicate with your doctor on what you expect for the outcome.  Take pictures along with you to the visit and talk, talk, talk.

Thank you for this list Kimmers25! Where did you get the wedge pillow system? I'm a tummy/side sleeper, so I'm dreading having to sleep on my back!

I know!!!  Back sleeping is pure torture to me!

I got mine on Amazon. Here is a link to the Wedge Pillow.  It costs a bit but well worth it.  I still use mine to this day.

Thanks! What do you think about coffee, alittle caffeine? I also take Bromelain.

I gave up my coffee for the first two weeks post op.  But only because it didn't appeal to me at that time.  But I did go back to it shortly after.  I don't personally think a little caffeine will hurt you.

Great tips! so right about processed food. I have been eating cleanly before in prep for the surgery and after but last night I gave into my craving for potato chips and I am paying for that today with swelling.
