Anyone Tried Juveni Confort or Juveni Mesolift

By ajay44 on 03 Nov 2011

I saw the comment about Juveni confort from a member, how is she now, 7 months post treatment, has anyone used Juveni confort or Juveni Mesolift ? I have seen 2 very negative comments on the web implying they had used Juveni and theirs were contaminated, tainted, and that made them sick, They didnt explain exactly why or show any proof, I have bought these products and dare not be treated with them now, can anyone help on these Juveni products? Their website does have a few good reviews on......

Hi guys, an update for you 5 months post surgery for removal of Juveni HA Volumizer, well, almost all been okay with the healing of the surgery, but.... I keep having hard shards, tiny hard shards (fragments) of filler coming to the surface of skin, they feel sharp, and almost peel off the skin surface, so I am using Flammazine cream again for a few weeks as it seems to soften and encourage the shards (fragments) out, surgeon told me he had 'most' of the Juveni filler out but couldnt make incision too wide as it would disfigure and distort face, so these shards/fragments are working there way out, no way was this an HA filler, deffo some wierd permanent plasticky substance, feels really sharp sometimes although tiny, like a bit of glass in you.. But seems to be coming out now after a few months post surgery, my skin is rejecting it and its making its way to surface.. Hope no one else goes through this, at least the klebsiella has gone, from day one of this Juveni HA injection my face was swollen beyond anything and bright red and itchy, I have since had Juvederm ultra the FDA approved of course again in different areas and had no problems what so ever, dont risk Juveni its not FDA approved but its a similar name to Juvederm which is FDA approved, I dont know how they get away with using a similar name to a FDA approve filler, dont get these two mixed up, avoid Juveni...

I'm a bit scared - I made my order from Juveni and found these horror stories after. I have a few questions for persons claim that their HA was contaminated - Did you use any disinfecting products before injection? You got problems from "the first shot", or did you store the syringe (bacteria can grow then, because it doesn't have any preservatives.) And how the hell I should know, is it safe for me to use?

Hi missy Was just doing my update and noticed your question, the Juveni I had was yes, stored properly, and yes the area was cleaned with a alcohol prep wipe etc etc, i expect your syringes are in a cheap plastic so called heat sealed bag, and the syringe is in it, all exposed, it should be in a sterile proper sealed box like you get for other FDA approves fillers.. I can only explain my experience, I am not saying what you should do with your order either way, but please be careful. I first had Juveni confort HA and it didn't do anything, didnt improve any lines or wrinkles at all, made no difference, then I had Juveni Volumizer HA (not permanent) and from the second it was administered it was huge, red, swollen, itchy and I have suffered for 18 months now approx, and even had cosmetic surgeon remove it, although still have traces in me, Juveni is not FDA approved, it was not HA in me it was a solid substance, sold to me as a HA. Be careful... It doesnt cost much more to have the FDA approved Juvederm at the Docs office, thats my suggestion... Good luck

I agree with ajay44. I know spending money on something & then not using it would feel like a real bummer, but it's not worth taking the risk on your face when there are plenty of FDA approved fillers available. Ultimately only you can decide for yourself if the risk is worth it or not. I'll be wishing you the absolute best either way you decide to go.

I was really nervous about getting my injections because I am afraid of needles but this didn't hurt at all. I found an amazing clinic and I am so glad that I went for it. I had a dental block so the pain was minimal. A few pin pricks and I was out in under 15 minutes. About 3 ml juveni ha volumizer was used. No lumps or bumps. I took 2 painkillers to deal with the soreness afterwards as well as arnica, my brusing was minimal. My nurse was fabulous, I'm looking forward to my checkup at 2 weeks. My swelling went down after 2 days. I adore my new lips, I wish they could stay like this forever. Juveni Worth Every $

What clinic did you go to? As I mentioned before from all I can tell Juveni is not FDA approved so I'm curious what clinic would choose to use it when there are many fillers to choose from that are FDA approved.

Gina1959 6 Feb 2013
Hi Megan. I can't tell to you my Doc without his approval.
Megan P (Community Manager) 6 Feb 2013

I find that interesting. People share who there doctor is all of the time. Do you think he would be concerned with people knowing he is using a filler that doesn't appear to be FDA approved?

Gina1959 6 Feb 2013
is all about cost and benefits. I like perlane but now i prefer juveni $$$

I can definitely understand wanting to save money, but it seems that the risk of a health problem would be greater using a product that doesn't appear to be approved by the FDA, than one that is. If a health problem occurs, the amount of money saved for the injections seems like it would be quickly lost to things like medical bills and time off work, right? And of course, that is speaking just from a dollars and cents perspective, not even touching on the emotional toll that could be taken.

Bravo Megan!

Gina1959, you blatantly are connected with the company that is selling this sub standard product. The only thing it should be filling is cracks in the wall! The product is the worse filler I have ever had the misfortune to have been injected with. I still have hard infected lumps in my face and it is not dissolving like normal ha injections do after a few months. If I could find out who to take legal action against I would. The company I believe is Italian owned based out of brazil with ghost addresses in the us, UK and wherever else they are setting up shop. I could be wrong as I cannot get any response from the company, but my package came from brazil, originating in china. The filler is disgusting. I hope people find this before they get injected and save themselves a lot of pain and suffering.

Greeneyes.. How is your infection doing ? I had to have a swab taken when my infection wouldnt go, results came back klebsiella pneumonie its not a nice infection, it was infected from day one, and one of the antibiotics for it is Cipro, I so hope your infection is okay now, if not get it swabbed as mine was contaminated too and klebsiella is no joke. Klebsiella is resistant to many antibiotics as I found out, and in the end i had to get it teated swabbed for the right antibiotic... Hopefully your okay now.. Flammazine cream is brill too.... Topically... Good luck

I now am 4 months post injection with juveni and have hard lumps in all injection sites . These are now infected. Goodness knows what's actually in my face. I'm just starting a course of antibiotics but will be scarred for life if I do indeed ever get it out. Never use it under any circumstances..

I self treated with some of the HA ( I know, I know..) No problems though. Seemed to work fine.

Hi ... I posted earlier about this product and its now been around 3 months. I will say the product is still there. None has dissolved. Unfortunately I wish it had. Its not good. In my lips in good with the product and in the smile lines ok but the checks not good this product is not moldable at all. Its hard and lumpy.

See do your research guys, as GIn Max is promoting juveni, and stating a doctor name and clinic, and if you copy and paste the doctors name and clinic GIn Max puts, you will see there is no doctor with that name at that clinic he also mentions and if you look at the fillers they use they are legit FDA approved ones, and not Juveni.. So you didn't Kid us well did you
ajay44 13 Dec 2012
Gin max The message was for you about the dr and clinic you mention .. I forgot to put your name first.. Must say though you do a lot of promoting of the juveni product, your lucky, you don't seem very concerned about all the comments on here of people sharing their problems with the product, i see you also have pasted what juveni have put on their site about comments raised on here, why would you be on juveni website if you say the Dr did yours in franklin, if you havent bought it online or trying to promote the products yourself, just an observation

Hi guys Well i had my surgery on monday, one hour it took to repair the scarring and lumps that Juveni HA Volumiser caused me, you have read my story, I only had 0.4ml injected as a precaution not having had this product used on me before, oh boy have I paid, one year of sheer hell, I was lucky as surgery originally scheduled for mid Jan, but a cancellation by the best surgeon happened and I was called, it took one hour, I am stitched up now, both with double and single sutures, cant see the wound as have to keep it covered until next week on my follow up.. I know one thing, wont be having that injected into me again, didnt suit me made me so poorly, fighting the klebsiella infection that developed ... but just pleased one year on, its been cut out of me and the scars from the bursting cysts have been as repaired as well as they can be, so will look forward to seeing the improvement when dressing strips are removed and all has settled.. I don't share this story to annoy people who say they use this product with success, glad you are okay, i share to inform people that they may be unlucky like me and to think twice. Have a great christmas everyone.. Tat tar for now..

Hi Megan Thank you very much .. I am resting up, hence doing an update on here, finally the surgery done, been a long old battle, with it being so imflammed and infected for a year, so couldnt be touched then, but now, all done, just hope all stays calm amd heals well now, i knowmi am scarred forever, but it will be neat now and the 3 awful lumps and the remains of the filler has been cut out.. 3 different surgeons opinions I have had, and all say this was never a HA filler .. sold as maybe but not.. may you have a lovely christmas Megan.. Xx

The Juveni HA range that we used on my eye area boosts the skin’s hydration while replenishing lost volume, allowing the skin’s structure to suspend the outward signs of ageing. They are relative newcomers to the dermal filler market but their fillers are currently being used by thousands of spas and practitioners worldwide. By combining the latest in dermatological research they have produced a range of fillers that seems to dissolve fine lines. The bonus for patients is that this restoration of volume is achieved without any impact on facial expression. My treatment was fast and efficient. Doctor Kidwell applied some topical cream to the areas that were to be treated to numb the area that was about to be treated. Luckily Juveni fillers contain lidocaine, so once the procedure began I could barely feel anything. The treatment process itself was not unpleasant. After the lidocaine took effect, which was almost immediate, I could barely feel anything and was almost surprised to find out that my treatments were competed! Afterwards I experienced some slight redness where injections had been done, but this only lasted for a few hours. There was some feeling of slight hardness under the skin but this smoothed out as the filler settled under my skin. A few days after my treatment, I compared my lips and eyes using a ‘before’ photograph I had taken. My lips were plump and full without looking false, and the skin around my eyes looked renewed and youthful. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who is suffering with the effects of aging skin.

From what I can tell Juveni is not FDA approved.

Here is a link to the FDA site that gives you two options for checking if a drug is approved. I checked under both options, and wasn't able to find it. I checked other drugs I knew were approved and the search worked perfectly for those.

With that in mind, can you tell us which spas and practitioners are using Juveni? You mentioned a Doctor Kidwell, do you mind disclosing his/her first name? I'm very curious to see their work, and hear why they have opted to go with Juveni when there are many proven, FDA approved, fillers on the market.
