Juvederm in Los Angeles

Posted 26 Oct 2006

Heard a lot about Juvaderm, I'd be interested in trying it to get rid of my lines around my eyes and mouth.  Anyone know where can I get juvaderm in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills for Juvaderm?

I too live in the LA area-- I have had Restylane injections into the lines on either side of my mouth and it wears off pretty quickly.  I usually feel like it looks better for a couple of months and then it goes away.  I have heard that Juvederm lasts longer than Restylane- I would be willing to drive a bit to get to a clinic that offers it.  Anyone?

Please report back on your Juvederm results!  Would love to share this with other readers. So far we appear to have 5 juvederm reviews (and everyone is glowing about it)

Requires quick registration (keeps spammers at bay), and simple form to complete.

Did you think they did a good job at the place in Studio city? I live in the area and was thinking of going to them. Has it lasted? Thanks!

I went to Dr. Simon Ourian in Beverly Hills. I think he did a great job...and very very natural. I highly recommend him. The office is very comforting and great service, vallet parking. Therie prices are very fair too.

I think you are better to wait until the new year when everyone will be offering juvederm in LA. Everyone who sells botox now will be selling juvederm. Good luck!

Yeah for Juvederm
I am really excited.  I have had Restylane injections in the past- about 6 times over the last 2 and half years.  And I had Juvederm done by Dr. Charles Sexton in Irvine last week.  No bruising.  Looks really good.  Will have to wait to see how long it does last.  I really hope it lives up to a longer lasting period than Restylane.  I thought that the injection was actuallly not as uncomfortable as Restylane.  I will report back and let you know when I think it is wearing off- I had the injection on December 5th.

Had 2 vials of Juvederm and a little botox injected into peri orals lines and side of mouth yesterday. Dr. used a dental block so I was numb and didn't feel anything. Minor swelling yesterday for a few hours and a little swollen and slight bruising at injection site today. Dr. said I should see final results in about a week. So far so good.

I just went to Dr.Tatoff in Encino,CA (they also have offices in Bev Hills and somewhere on Wilshire) They are offering Juvaderm for 45 a vial.I am going to give it a try on my next tat removal visit. They did say it is less painful and seems to last longer and no bumping like the restalyne. That was the kicker for me. So after I have it done I am happy to report back on my results.

Two days ago I had Juvederm injections under my eyes. I have experiencing bruising, swelling, redness, and puffiness in the eye area. How long does it take for these side effects to diminish? If the puffiness will not subside, it is my understanding that the Juvederm can be dissolved. In the event I elect to pursue that course of action, should I expect the same swelling and bruising? Not sure if I should wait a few more days or simply get it dissolved. Any thoughts?

I had Juve a week ago in Metairie. swelling minimal, but the doc made me look like a freak! i was a pretty woman, and now i have these lumps under my left eye and a long, snake-like bag sticking out under my right eye that looks like somebody threaded a fat piece of yarn under the skin that is poking out. I have been so depressed i do not even want to be seen in public. He told me to come in tomorrow and he will try to fix it. I hope tremendously that he can somehow make me look normal again. I paid $750 to look refreshed, not to look old and freakish! I NEVER want to do this again! Or at least until I do exhaustive research into the person who will be injecting my face again. Please ask for before and after photos. Funny my doc never offered any to me. But the workers in his office were really pushing it to me, telling me how great he does Juve. My doc is a BCPS, so i would expect better from him that this. But he mostly does breast implants and other surgeries. Maybe he should stick to surgery. Get someone who is experienced in injectable fillers. I hope you have better luck than I, but there is hyuarlonidase (sp) that can dissolve it, from what i understand.

Hi - I had juvederm done for the hollows of my eyes 15 days ago. The problem is that under the left eye, it is still swollen and purplish in color as if some blood vessels might've been damaged. Under the right eye, I have some puffiness and some purplish color but not as bad as under the left eye. I am very concerned and have called the doctor's office. I was told, in the beginning, it'd be about 3 - 4 days of puffiness and such but then called again and was told 10 - 14 days and so I called the other day and they told me it could take longer for it to go away. They can't get me in until next Tuesday and I leave on vacation that day and will be horrified if this puffiness (bags like look under eyes) doesn't go away. I feel like going in today after work and showing them how terrible I look. Question is, if I apply ice, would that help. They told me to rub at it several times a day but it never worked. I can kind of feel some pressure when I push down on the puffiness. I did have black eyes after the injections. He said I took the injections well but obviously took a terrible turn for the worse. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to help bring down the swelling or am I doomed for the next 9 months or so? Has this happened to others? I would think it has. This was very disappointing and for them not to be able to see me until next week which will make three weeks after the injections, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Thanks for any suggestions anyone can offer.

I had one vial of Juvederm injected into my lips on Dec. 18, 2007...by Jan. 26, 2008 there was no sign I'd ever had my lips enhanced.

The Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers Juvederm, Restylane, and now Prevelle have essentially completely replaced Cosmoderm and Cosmoplast (collagen) in my facial injection practice. The material is longer-lasting and therefore much more cost-effective for the patient, gives better results in the short-term, and does not require refrigeration or special handling like collagen. The only minor down-side to the HA fillers is the need to do dental block local anesthesia injections for patient comfort, since the HA materials (except Prevelle) do not contain local anesthesia, and I do not find topical anesthetic creams to be effective enough in most cases. The HA fillers can be used for wrinkle lines, lip enhancement, dark hollow circles under the eyes, and even to plump the "apple" of the cheek. In conjunction with Botox and a good daily skin care routine, the HA fillers are an excellent weapon in the battle against the thin lips, wrinkles, and other signs of facial aging.

I like Dr. Nassif for Juvederm and fillers, but I am also thinking of seeing him for a browlift.
