I had my tt 6/18 and all is well however I have some mons swelling. Everytime I type mons - lipo comes up. So I'm confused, I didn't have lipo and I know tt swelling in normal but why is most of my swelling mostly in that area. I also resently returned to work swelling there satrts later in the day..... please help lol dazed and confused :)
But swelling isn't the only thing that will travel south. Bruising usually will flow downhill, too, so don't be surprised if your pubic mound is purple, puffy, and numb. The bruising will go away eventually. Some companies make garments with compression panels at the pubic mound but for many patients, the swelling will just have to be accepted while it lasts.
As for the TT - using Scar creams and having weekly (expensive) lymphatic drainage massage treatments. I can fit into the majority of my clothes EXCEPT for the low waisted/non stretch clothes. My pooch is still real evident so I'm hoping it gets better and flatter. I've lost 5 lbs and hoping for another 4-5 in 3 weeks which might be pushing it - (especially last night after drinking and eating too much carbs).
Another frustration is the sex thing. I have numbness in many places and understand that nerves take a good year to come back - so when the beau touches me it's an odd feeling and I'm mentally having a hard time explaining this to him. I
Still have some frustrations. What about you all?
going to call PS but. I just thought it would subside but seems to be getting worse.. rather painful just took a valium hope it helps..
I'm trying out ScarZone until the bottle runs out - will let you know out this works. My only complaints right now are
1. Swelling - I can't fit into my cute shorts
2. and my nipples aren't symmetrical
Patience Patience. MMMM - when did I get that trait? NOT! ;)
Exercise - I got the all clear at 7 weeks to go back but to take it easy & listen to my body. I love my outdoor boot camp and have done 5 sessions in the last 2 weeks with walking on the alternate days. My advise is definatley to ease yourself back into it, I feel fantastic but have not pushed my abs yet. I have mainly concentrated on legs (squats & lunges) and arms (boxing). Oh & starp those boobies down good to protect them!!
Stitches - I had what I thought was a pimple on the incision line of my breast. It wasn't painful just annoying. At my 6 wk consult my PS informed me it was an undissolved, dissovlable stitch. He removed it easily and told me it was quite normal. So dont stress just let your PS know.
Scar therapy - my ps did not want me to use anything until I was 6 weeks and then start massaging the scar with Bio Oil. He also gave me some silicon scar gel to use on any red or raised bits. I love the Bio Oil but to be honest the scar gel doesn't seem to be doing anything.
Anyway, these are just some of my experiences that I thought I would share, in case it was helpful to a fellow realselfer.
My final advice is keep your mantra as "we are all different and there are many versions of normal".
Good luck to you all.
xx
I'm 5 weeks and 1 day...thanks for the info. My ps doesnt want me putting anything on my scar either....
Love your mantra. :)
When you exercise do you wear your garment?
