Anyone in their late 40s having or had a BA?

I now have to wait for at least a year because of a financial issue for my long awaited BA. I have always taken care of myself, exercise and clean eating has helped me stay feeling and looking younger. I actually feel younger now then I did when I was in my early 30s.  But I wonder if it's worth it to do this at age 48. I have dealt with this for so long that maybe I should just forget about it. I was just hoping I could hear from anyone around my age who has or will be doing this.

I'm 46 and had mine done 8/18/14 . Best decision I have ever made. I wish you lots luck. I feel soooo good about myself now. I can finally wear tops that I would have dared to wear before.

I agree it was the best decision I ever made now I like to wear halter tops because they look right instead of looking weird. Lol
As you can see in my pte opine weren't very pretty. The thought of going without an add a size bra petrified menow I can wear strapless tops and feel confident

Hi, I'm 52 and I just booked my BA in Oct. Like you I have been unsure, scared! I keep thinking why now!? It's something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm 5"4" and 117 lbs. Had 3 consults and one PS suggested 320cc and the 3rd PS suggested 350cc. Don't want it too big just a full C. I'm currently a 32B. Last night I was reading about CC(capsular contracture) and now I'm deathly scared to get it done!! Please help! Any advice/comments would be appreciated!

Forgot yo say I had 310 cc overs I'm 5.2 and weigh 7st 10 xxxxx
I was 53 last week and had mine done last November. I don't regret it for a second. I had modest sized implants (245cc polyurethane anatomicals) but it still took me from a flattish 34b to a full 32e. Wish I'd had them done earlier! I'm slightly concerned about breast cancer screening but I understand I can still be screened just not in the conventional way. The other thing I've gained apart from new boobs is a boat load of confidence, it's hard to explain but I know I can wear virtually anything and feel womanly and curvy up top and then of course there is the underwear you can buy...forget boring triple gel bras in black or white, the world is your oyster. Just make sure you research your surgeon thoroughly and go through everything with him. I could recommend spire 100%. Not the cheapest but as with anything in life you do get what you pay for. You have to accept the slim possibility of complications such as cc or bottoming out etc. but picking a good surgeon will minimise risks. Make sur surgeon is BAAPS registered, I think that is very important although some may not agree its necessary, but you owe it to yourself to have the best! Good luck!

Am 39yrs 6 months. Had mine yesterday. Am still in a bit of uncomfortable pain, but I'm loving it. I've always wanted to do it ever since I had my 3 babies. I can't wait to have bandages removed.

I am 46 and I am scheduled for a BA on 8/29. I am very excited. I wish I had done it sooner. The pre op is this Thursday the 21st. A friend of mine is 40 and had hers done and they look awesome. Gave me courage to get mine done. Had it on my mind to do for the past 10 years. I will keep you all posted as to how it goes.
