Implants Are Too Far Apart (pics): What Would You Suggest?

Hi all, I am a male to female trans and am NOT on any hormone treatment. I decided to have implants in June this year, the surgeon used 445cc high profile textured implants. Immediately post op I noticed there was a large gap between implants. On my first review with the surgeon I mentioned this and was told that my nipples were quite far apart and also I have a wide sternum. I was told to wait for at least 6 months for them to drop and fluff, though I still cant see how the gap will be closed up. If this is the case what are my options to have the gap made smaller?  Also any opinions are welcome.   Mandy

Hi Mandy, welcome!

I haven't had implants myself, but from your pic they do look further apart than I've seen from other reviews. You mentioned your surgeon said to wait 6 months. Did they say if, after that time frame, the breasts would have moved closer together, or they would just have dropped somewhat?

I'm sure the other ladies here will give you lots of advice. It may also be a good idea to post this as a question to our doctors. That way you can also get the advice of several board-certified surgeons. If you'd like to do that just click on this link.

Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery!

HI Kirsty Thanks for your comments, my ps stated that it was best to wait at least 6 months to see how they drop, He didnt say they would get any closer together. He did say that when they have softened fully a good bra should help to close the gap. I have followed the link you provided and posted my question with before and after pics. Many thanks Mandy

Your questions should get published today and then doctors will be able to comment on it for you. Hopefully you'll get enough information to make a plan going forward.
