Can a Hysterectomy ruin my TT and muscle repair?

I had my TT and MR 3 months ago and am FINALLY happy with my body!  After complaints of heavy periods and pain--I just found out that I have multiple uterine fibroids and most are large, which has caused my uterous to grow to over 10cm, therfore a hysterectomy is my only option and I have had a 2nd opinion and they concurred with the first doctor.  My concern is that my new body will now be compromised by going through the abdomin and moving muscles around to get my uterus out.  PLEASE IF anyone has had this same experience, please share.
