I live in the Houston TX area and am seriously considering this procedure.  I have an appt with Lifestyle LIft next Tuesday 2/6/07.  I am 49 and hate my "turkey neck" which occured after loosing over 80 lbs. I would really appreciate some feedback on the experiences people have had with the Houston office and the doctors there.  Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I just wondered if you went through with the Life Style lift in Houston? I had visited Dr. {edited} there and he seemed nice enough and I got good references for him from two people that had it done by him.... I made my appt. and then chickened out... Did you do it? Who did you go to and were you happy with the results.. Thanks D Rao

Hello,
Dr. {edited} in Houston did my lift on April 12, 2007 along with an upper and lower eyelid lift. Highly recommned him. I look great and he is the nicest person. The lifestyle lift office is located at 1800 St. James Place in the Galleria area. He also has a private practice but only does ifestyle lifts at the office in the Galleria. I was treated with respect and care by all of the staff (even though I'm not the best patient!!) Since I also had the eyelift I had a longer recovery time but this was explained to me at the time of my pre-op appointment so it was expected. I've never had a regular facelift but have seen pts. post-op who have. This procedure is much less invasive.

Can you tell me what Dr you saw in Houston as I am considering the procedure and I live in Houston. Where is he located? Do you feel this was less invasive than a face lift would have been?
Thank you,
Ann

Connie,

Did you do it? How was the pain from a scale of 1-10...10 being the worse? That's all I am worried about.

Don't waste your money. I had the LL several years ago by Dr. P in Houston. The surgery itself was not bad, the recovery was not bad and the instant results were not bad. The problem is that the results DO NOT LAST long. I had realistic expectations but in less than two years I had it done again by a real plastic surgeon. The total cost of having to have it done twice was about $9000. I could have had a full face lift for that amount. You never see the doctor after the surgery, not for follow up or anything so if you get this surgery from him you better hope you have no problems afterwards. A reputable dr will always do a follow up. Good luck if you chose to do this, you will probably need it. Don't mean to be pessimistic, just honest.

Are you still happt with the results one year later? I'm
thinking of going to this same doctor and probably need the eyes done also. Thanks for any info.

I had my lifestyle lift surgery done 6 months ago and I am extremely happy. I took off a week and 1/2. I took my pain medications for 3 days. I'm thrilled with my neck!
