Help finding a board certified plastic surgeon very experienced with restylane for tear troughs in Colorado

Hello: I'm a 40-ish man needing to fill the deep tear troughs I have from being very lean. I am very fit, and otherwise look 10 years younger than my age. There's little chance I'll fatten up enough to make much of a difference in my tear troughs, or templar region, though. I'm too active, and I wouldn't get soft to fatten my face. It would be a poor trade. Luckily I have really prominent features, with high cheekbones, and a very strong jaw and chin, so I think that Restylane is a good therapy for now, and maybe fat grafts later. But it's very hard to find a true expert here in Colorado Springs or Denver. After doing a lot of searching online, I've found few board certified plastic surgeons in Colorado Springs or the Denver area, that advertise that they themselves inject restylane; some seem to refer to their "spa" or "skin rejuvenation" centers for these injections. The inference is that someone else does the injections. Following the extremely apt advice of all the surgeons on this forum, I would only get such injections (and I may want them in the templar and  glabellar area as well), from a true board certified plastic surgeon, who also has vast experience with these specific procedures, and has a big collection of before/ after pics. (I looked into fat grafts a year or so ago, and found two busy doctors that had very little photos to show me; I got the idea they were not so experienced in grafting.   Based on my web search, I'm assuming the surgeons here may do less filler injections, if they're undercut by spas, with nurses, etc., who dole the stuff out cheaper. Can anyone here help me find the right surgeon to do the best job? Thanks

I am looking for a tear trough expert in Colorado as well. Like you I'm very lean and it shows on my face. I have had fillers in the past with good results in the cheeks and lips. I had Radiesse in the cheeks, but it only lasted about 6 months. Since then I have started facial exercises for cheeks and that has made a significant difference. The injections were performed by a nurse. She is very experienced and I was happy with the results. She had mentioned to me that Restylane in the tear troughs is her favorite procedure. One of her locations includes an oculoplastic surgeons office. I am left with the dilemma of whether to go back to her vs. look for a dermatologist or plastic surgeon with experience in the tear through are. The problem is there is just not sufficient enough review base here in Colorado. I have read good reviews about Dr. McCracken and considering a consultation with him. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks

I'm assuming you have already clicked through on the "Doctor Finder" tab near the top of the page. If you haven't, try that because you will be able to search by area, then by treatment or specialty.

Another great way to search is by the costs map. That way you can see reviews by people who had the treatment you are considering, in your area and read about their experience.

If you decide to try it, please come back and share your experience so others can learn from it. :)
