Any hairstylists out there that have done an arm lift?

I'm scheduled for An arm lift and full tummy tuck January 29 th . Time is flying by and I'm getting so nervous. Would feel so much better to hear I'm not the only stylist out here willing to take a risk of damaging my' tool of trade ' to rid of the bat wings . At this point I'm looking more like a flying squirrel. Just hoping things go well and after my 6 week recovery time I'm ready to go back and kick some hair a$$!

Hi there, welcome!

Have you checked out the other Arm Lift reviews? I'm not sure we have any from hair stylists, but you should still be able to get some good tips and information from the reviews.

Good luck! :-)

Thank you ! And yes I've read a lot of the other reviews . But still left with the worry of not being able to do hair again. I'm just full of anxiety ! Lol

From the other reviews I've read, it can take upto about a month (depending on the person) to be able to lift your arms above your head, etc. Can you take a chunk of time off of work?

I've read that mostly too but also have read a lot where people lost feeling in the arms or just incisions reopening :-O SO Scary! I'm taking 6 weeks off , that's what my surgeon says and as hard as that is financially I'm definitely doing what he recommends . He also told me that I wouldn't be able to go back full time right away. Which again is scary because someone is going to have a whole bunch of extra bills rolling in . Reading all these blogs and reviews is so helpful and makes me feel a little more mentally prepared . I know everyone's recovery is different so just the unknown has been freaking me out. If my disability insurance was going to help me out I wouldn't be so worried. Doesn't look like they're going to consider my procedures "medically necessary" - good grief I'm so sick of hearing those 2 words!

Insurance can be tough with these types of procedures. It's a shame your disability coverage won't help out. Hopefully you'll have a quick and smooth recovery! :-)
