Fraxel Restore for African American skin

I had a consultation yesterday for the Fraxel restore for stretch marks. The doctor said that he did not feel comfortable using the fraxel on me due to the risk for hyperpigmentation. Are there any lasers that can be used safely for dark skin?

i used fraxel for my stretchmarks as an African American and u get dark dots in the area but ALL of mine have faded back to natural complexion, even with improvement in skin tone. But it depends on how your skin in particular reacts and what kind of treatment you received. Mine was the one that is non ablative. That one is less riskier though it requires more treatments.

HHmm...I don't remember. I know the place and if we could send private e-mails I can give you their number and find out. I think it was the less stronger one to be honest.
