Looking for a PS in Charlotte, NC

Hi Everyone, I just joined the site but I've been searching it for yrs. I'm a 33 yr old mother of two teenagers. I've always wanted to do something about the way I look after I had my last child and finished BF. I want a MM. I'm making plans to have the surgery in Dec of 2014....starting to get things in order now. However, the first thing on the agenda is ti find a PS in my area. I do not want to travel I would prefer to stay closer to home - less headache that way (IMO). I'm thinking the surgery should be no more than 13k. Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be very much appreciated. I'm soo excited.....!!!!

Hi, I am in Charlotte also, not trying to convince you to not have surgery in NC, but the rates are much higher and the results are not as good. I know there are a lot of risks going overseas and I don't know how curvy you want ti be but maybe just consider going to Mexico or the Dominican Republic. Anywho, I hope that I can meet a new friend, we need all the support we can get.

Was DR your first option - did you look into Charlotte at all. I know for me looking into Charlotte the choices were extremely limited.

I went to a couple of consultations and was given the price of 10,000 for TT and 6,000 for breast aug w/implants...There was no way I could afford that so I gave up for a while. I then started researching on the internet and came across Yily. After doing research for months, I decided the price as well as the results were 100% better. Doctors here in the states tend to tuck your tummy straight up and down. Hell I want a shape!!!

Thanks @TMT4M your detailed breakdown is much helpful. I'm now considering the DR to cut down on costs also. It's like 1/4 the cost they are charging in the US. I even noticed w/in other cities pricing it's not as high as in CLT - I wonder if its because CLT doesn't have a lot to choose from so that's the reason for the price points.

I always think of Chlt as the big city copy cat - LA and NYC pricing! my next two consults are with university hospitals Duke and Wake Forest. Wake has a residents clinic so the prices are cheaper. Hubby won't let me go to the DR.

I don't know why, we are so far from that.....lol. However, I'm still going to do some consults in the area but I'm leaning more towards DR but we'll see. I'm planning so far in advance that anything is possible.

Thank you for your post. You're smart to get your ducks in a row now! Here's a (short) list of doctors in Charlotte who do Mommy Makeovers. You might want to call around, though, as many doctors will do a tummy tuck and breast work together. Hope this helps!
