Feeling down, 15 days post op

By Katie C on 06 May 2011

It has been 15 days since my full TT and lipo. I developed seroma a week after my TT.(Which my PS has to Syringe out every few days) I am standing straight up and have been since day one, I have been back at work for a week now (desk job)I am just feeling so down and for some odd reason wishing I had never went through with this op in the first place. The recovery process is just tooo long. I am just hoping and praying that I don`t get skin necrosis, which is my worst fear. I just want to be normal again!!

Hi Katie,

You are at a very tough stage right now but I promise you will feel better soon.  I would say that the first six weeks are the tough times.  You went back to work pretty quickly.  My goodness I was still in the bed crying at a week post op.

Your body has been through a great trauma so recently and it needs time to recover.  Everything you are feeling is normal and part of this process.  There is not anything wrong with you.  We have all experienced the post op blues.  They will go away soon.

Hang in there and keep your chin up:)   This is a very long recovery and takes patience and time.  Try to focus on the summer ahead and how awesome your tummy is going to look when healed.  You did this for all the right reasons.

Go ahead and read my month by month list and you will see that this is all normal.  I called it the "Cybil Hour".  Happy then sad and all over again.
