February Tummy Tuckers Check in Here!
By newmomat37 on 16 Dec 2011
I am scheduled for Feb 6, 2012. I have been reading the Nov and Dec forums and getting lots of great info..thought it was time to start our month..might be a little early, buy hey, I am excited! I am 40 yrs old, have two boys, ages 4 and 1 ( he is actually 17 months old) and am excited and scared at the same time. My tummy bounced back after my first son but did not after the second one. I have severe diastasis as told by my PS and most likely a hernia. I look 5 months preggers so since we are done having kids, I decided it was time. My biggest fears are handling my kids after the surgery ( I will have help for 2-3 weeks for sure and then some help after that initial healing phase) and not being happy with the results after the long road to recovery, the cost, the trauma to my body, etc. I am 5' 3" and weigh 133. I would love to get closer to 125 before surgery but the Holiday season isn't helping. :)

It's never to early to start the planning and info gathering:)
I say go for it with the implants..you are already cut open. I have implants 14 yrs ago and the recovery was no big deal at all. Plus, you are going to be feeling your tt and lipo the most so the implants won't be a big deal. I am sure your PS has told you that you will lose some breast volume with the lift so may as well fill em back up! :)
Best of luck to you in whatever you decide..excited to follow your journey as well.
I WAS WONDERING THIS TOO.
GREAT QUESTION.HOLA.. TO ALL ON REAL SELF TODAY! CANT' WAIT TO GET MINE FINALLY DONE
ADIOS.
In it with you, and best of luck!
My list is the usual suspects..7-Up, crackers, fruit, etc. I also have a Lazy Boy recliner that I was just going to get rid of..good thing I didn't ;)
I also have one of the 70's style pillows for watching TV in bed, has arms on the side..you may remember them from college days. Also have an airplane travel pillow that wraps around your neck for support in the recliner while sleeping. Bought a wedge pillow. Hoave lots of books, magazines, DVD's. Bought an ice pack thing..mage of cloth with cap on it, fill with ice and place whenever needed. Have a heating pad. Have protein powder for shakes and protein bars. Have plenty of granny panties from c-sections.
Need to buy a cute sweat suit that has zip up hoodie for leaving the hospital. I am staying overnight for one night...wish I could afford 3 night..LOL!! ;)
The good news is that most horror stories with plastic surgery are few and far between and occur b/c people went to under qualified docs or had very unhealthy lifestyles and their body did not respond well to the surgery.
In qualified hands, there are very few stories that go super bad..some will have a harder recovery than others but we will all recover!! :)
