How fast does the scar heal?

Just wondering at what point does the scar actually begin to close up so that you dont have anything oozing out of it.

Each person is different in the healing process but generally 2-4 weeks.

Thank you Kimmers, I just picture myself with an open wound for weeks and weeks and scared about ripping it back open on accident by either sneezing (allergies are starting to kick in now) or by trying to pick up my 14 month old son. I think I wont be as worried once the wound closes up. Is this weird to be worried about this? I am seriously just picturing sneezing and my insides falling out, lol, sounds funny when I say it out loud, but it is a scary thought.

Totally normal thoughts:)   I went through the same thing and was afraid I would pop right open.  My doctor assured me that I would be fine because he closed me up pretty tightly.  

When you feel the sneeze coming on press a pillow to your tummy and kinda hunch over a little.  Its going to hurt but you will not pop open.  Sneezing and coughing are not fun after a tummy tuck.
