Fascinating Study on Fat Cells

By Juliabars on 03 Aug 2012

Contrary to popular believe that all fat cells shrink and expand, researchers in 2010 found that upon weight gain, lower body fat cells multiply while abdominal fat cells grow in size.   Check it out: http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2010/10/04/fat-grows-differently-in-different-body-areas/   Could this mean that upon being injected in the face, fat can behave differently depending on where we get the donor fat? An interesting thing to ponder....

You're welcome! I actually talked to one lady who had a fat transfer and she said that all her friends who had facial fat transfers experienced different outcomes depending on where they got it from. Anecdotal stories don't scientifically prove that it is true but it's very interesting. Maybe it could be a question realself asks doctors on the Blog... Though I guess for now it would merely be hypothetical answers.
