I a month post op and for the most part happy with my natural results. I would say this is the market where I feel more "Normal". The first 2-3 weeks were really rough!!!

Hi Secret, that's so good to hear! I am just 2 weeks post op and wondering when I would start to feel better! When did you stop having to take tylenol? I am happy with the results, but surprised at how much it still hurts!
secretps 18 May 2013
RizRaz, I am so feeling for you. You are in the absolute hardest part of recovery, hang in. I was in do much pain and hitting incredible emotional lows at week 2. By week 3 I was already tapering off the Tylenol. I was also surprised how much it hurt and how it knocked me out. It gets better and then you start seeing results which really helps. Best of luck!

It's good to know where your recovery is at a month out! I'm in Day 2 and know the worst might be yet to come. But your updates are encouraging.

Ok day two post op. OUCH! I can't keep enough ice on my face, my ears really are killing me, staples behind ears in hairline hurt too, probably due to swelling. I have a mask like quality to my face, and is hard to sleep on my back all the time. I really am so glad that I found this forum prior to my surgery so I know these are common occurrences. Have to wash my hair today, kinda scared! LOL

Sounds like you're right on schedule, ha! Believe me it does get better, every day you will see improvement in how you look and feel. And I totally agree with you about RS, it helps so much to find out that other people had the same experience, and to know what to expect.

Leval59, just checking in as I'm on Day 1 and will be washing the hair tomorrow and feeling same. Let me know any tips you may have. Yes, frozen peas are now my best friends! Doing ok though and staying elevated night and day. Hang in; we can get through this together.

Glad to hear you are doing well! Hair washing was not a problem for me but I just wrapped in towel and dried it that way while sleeping I was very lucky in hat I had a special ice loop made for me by my private nurses whuch was required by my md for a 2 day time frame then I stopped this am. The only thing that hurts is the tightness around the neck so far..... I am taking Tylenol to ease that but am off all other narcs I think I had too many in hotel room as when I got in the car to go home I vomited. Lovely. I am sleeping constantly except for meds and this blog. I have no energy at all? Just as well. Glad to hear you are doing so well! Dsail

How do I post pics?
Sgwtexas 15 May 2013
Go to update profile and at the bottom it lets you upload pictures. It's easiest if you have them loaded in your iPhone photo library.

Thank you

Had my facelift yesterday. Minimal bruising, much icing going on, and my ears hurt! Don't remember getting home, into Ed or the first half of the day. LOL. had drains removed today, and I can already see a huge difference, even with the swelling. Looking good for excellent results :)

Congrats! Yes, your poor little ears will only get worse for the next few days but after the swelling has topped out (days 4/5ish) they will start to get better. The first week is the easiest for most of us. We're on drugs and sleeping alot! The swelling actually plumps out our faces and wrinkles and most of us like how our faces look week one better than week 3 (in terms of nasal folds/wrinkles). Take it easy. Rest and prepare for week 2 - that's the killer. Make sure to have pain pills and anti-anxiety pills for week two. After about day 11, it was all good for me!

Boy that is true, I looked great at about week three and four. Now my lines and etc are coming back. But I still look better than I did.
Leval59 15 May 2013
Thanks for the info about upcoming events! I honestly didn't have many wrinkles, surgeon was happy about that..... But yea, I do expect the swelling makes it look fuller. Just to see a profile without turkey neck is enough for now :)

The worst is over, let the healing begin. Congratulations and take care of yourself now....
Slender20 15 May 2013
Great news! Just be sure to rest. It is easy to do to much and then you will start swelling again.
Financegirl 15 May 2013
You made it! So glad you can already see improvements and are feeling positive. I'll touch base with you when I can to see how you're progressing and we can compare 'healing' notes! :) Take care, go easy.

How did yours go finance girl?
Leval59 17 May 2013
I'm feeling a bit better today, but trying to lay low. I know me, and I WILL overdo it if I don't make myself be lazy. I woke this morning at about 3am and thought my skin was going to split by my ears. So swollen and painful. Applied ice to fall back asleep with, it worked for a few hours., thank goodness. I don't sleep more than a few hours at a time now.
OhGirl 17 May 2013
Pain pills help to cope with that feeling from the horrible swelling. It will peak and by day five or so, will start to go away.
Leval59 17 May 2013
Thanks oh girl :)

Let's talk about earrings. At what point will it feel comfortable to wear earrings. Right now even the tiniest earring is too heavy and uncomfortable.
suzque49 11 May 2013
I didn't start wearing them until I went back to work, about 3 1/2 weeks post surgery. I was a little worried about the wounds behind my ears but they feel fine, no problems at all.
secretps 12 May 2013
Thanks!
