eyeliner tatto removal

By cc10 on 18 Jun 2012

Does anybody have an idea about how much it costs to remove eyeliner tatto? I know it varies. Just want to get a general idea. Also do i need to get a driver to drive me home after the treatment? Thank you in advance.

Do you mean the black eye liner smugs that are not immediately on there, but show up later, afterwards? I would be wary of just any technician to use black on me, many do not know why this happens. It is type of black pigment, that does this. If they tell you that it is implanted too deep, they need more continuing education as that is just incorrect.
How much later after can this show up????
Varies, sometimes a week or two. Due to pigment type and wrong technique.
Ok just wanted to make sure this was not something that came a few months or years later or something!!!
I haven't heard of that long, I wouldn't worry about it if years ago.
Hello, I have never heard of the term "Panda Eyes". Are you maybe referring to migration of the pigment? If so, there is nothing that can be done to remove migration except fading over time. And usually it doesn't. The pigment is spread out like a stain instead of a concentrated area, making it impossible to remove. When there is a blotch at the edge of the outer canthus or inner canthus of the eye, that is a "blow out" which means the tech angled the machine in such a way that pigment was literally blown into the adjacent skin. This is why training and technique are so important in PMU. Once a blow out occurs, it's pretty much there forever.
Hi Riarose, what a great news, whereabouts in australia did you have your eyeliner removed? many thanks.
Can migration occur after lightening? I would really like to try either saline or laser but I wanted to know if either cod cause migration and how that would occur???
Hi, Riarose,

Thank you so much for your info. BTW, Did you have it done in Australia? Did you get panda eyes (meaning the pigment spread, especially at the lower lid area) after the treatments?

Thank you very much.
Removing Eyeliner is not an easy task, many Dr's will not use any type of laser around the eye, as lasers can burn the cornea. The pulsed light can also effect your vision if damage occurs. You may wish to contact the SPCP and ask for a referral in your area, of a professional who performs saline removal or salabrasion. It is tricky to lighten eyeliner and many won't perform removal of an entire liner, but more a blotch or small mistake, can be addressed. I find that tightening up the liner closer to the eye can make a world of difference and make the eyes much more defined. Shape is a very important element of successful PMU. Good Luck.
Thank you, Stylishus!

Have you heard something like panda eyes after the treatments?
Do you think "wings" can be lightened safely? Have you ever heard of a lightening attempt causing migration?
I had my eyeliner removed, I had very dark heavy lines on top and bottom, I had 4 treatments each one cost me $200aus and had a few months between each treatment, my eyes where very red, bruised and swollen, but I still drove home with sunglasses on, it is a good idea to get a driver. The doctor put surgical steel contacts in my eyes, then numbing drops and local anaesthetic, which was abit sore but only for a few seconds, then didn't feel a thing. Afterwards the eye area was abit sore but didn't need any pain relief. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately I don't know about the costs, so hopefully a community member who does will be able to share that.
