my dermatologist told me his eye creams contain vitamin a + e and glycolic... he carries Obagi NuDerm, Kinerase Rescue amd MD Forte Eye Cream.
do any of these products work for under eye lines? i hate to spend this much and get nothing back!

dont know those but luv my obagi elastiderm
good if you got sensitiv skin around your eyes
I use Kate Somerville Line Release Under Eye Repair and I think that it works great....It has done miracles for my dark circles....I love it!
where did u get it from?
I like MD Forte's whole line. however the L'oreal revitalift eye cream is great for an inexpensive fix. The ingredient that seems to make a difference is the beeswax, which helps disguise lines I have after working all night. I think it acts as a temporary filler, in a way. Walmart has a similar product by equate which also has beeswax in the ingredients.
I really like the Mary Kay Firming Eye Cream. It's able to address more than just getting rid of the fine lines, but also to firm up and brighten the area around the eyes. I use it everyday, and I've definitely seen a difference since before I used it.
Airbrush is what I use and it has emu oil in it. It helps with puffiness and smooths skin. I saw it on Oprah.
Teamine Eye Complex has been known to work well with puffy dark eye circles.
I am of the opinion that no cream, gel or topical agent of any kind is going to do much for fine under-eye wrinkles. However, for puffiness and dark circles, I use Ren Active 7 Radiant Eye Maintenance Gel. I use it once a day (in the morning), and it definitely makes me look way less tired than I feel.
Ren products don't have any unsavory ingredients (synthetic chemicals and preservatives, etc.), which I also like.
has anyone tried Strivectin SD for their wrinkles and saw results or were you disappointed?
I've used Strivectin SD at two different times--both times I was disappointed with the results. Strivectin SD uses references to Botox and Retinol in its promotions, which is a tease--and it plays on consumers' lack of understanding of the differences between Retinol and Retinoic Acid--Retinol is an OTC-approved form of vitamin A (as is retinyl palmitate, an ingredient in Strivectin) that's used in a vast number of skin care products--and these forms of vitamin A are more susceptible to oxidation which diminishes their overall efficacy. Retinoic Acid (tretinoin) is a doctor-prescribed and found in treatment creams such as Renova and Retin-A. So in comparing Strivectin SD to Retinol, it's not really saying much in terms of what the anticipated efficacy should be as it's comparing it to just about every other skin care product on drugstore shelves. Likewise, to name-drop "Botox" is at best wishful thinking, at worst false advertising.

Strivectin has bad reviews!
Strivectin has mostly poor reviews. Airbrush from fad2envy is a great eye cream for wrinkles and puffiness.
Just for clarity for other readers, Airbrush is a product made and marketed by Dremu http://www.realself.com/beauty-brand/dremu
has anyone used a product that could help me with hollowness beneath my eyes. I guess the aging rocess has reduced the volume I had beneath my eyes. If there is someone out there that has had this problem and can advise me of a solution, I would be forever grateful. many thanks
Debra - I, too, have had issues with my under eye area for several years. I believe an overzealous lower bleph is primarily responsible for the hollowness of my orbital rim area (I call them my "ditches"), but I'm sure the aging process has contributed as well. I recently underwent Fraxel Re:Pair, and after a couple of weeks, the hollowness was actually worse than before. It was suggested to me that the FR procedure tightened the skin (as it was supposed to), and that resulted in more pronounced hollowing. I am now almost 7 weeks post-FR, and a small amount of volume has returned to the under eye area. Since FR results are considered "optimal" at 12 weeks, I'm hoping the improvement will continue.
I have also been using Obagi's ElastiDerm Eye Gel, and while I like the way it makes my eyes look and feel after I apply it, I can't say for sure whether what I'm seeing is resultant of the FR or the ElastiDerm (or a combination of both).
I have also researched several fillers, and it appears Restylane injections in the tear trough area are often successful in correcting this problem. I will wait the full 12 weeks post-FR to see how the area is then, but if it is still lacking, I plan to have the Restylane.
Best of luck to you. ~allie
I prefer the all natural products - try going to Clare Ledor.com and check out her eye products. I use both the day and night one. The night one is like a balm and a little bit heavy but I still use it. So far, I really like them and the price is very good as eye creams go. I wanted to try the one with cranberry (?) in it but it was $50 for 1/2 ounce and I can't afford that!
To Aligrace, I am glad you told me about fraxel. I will no longer consider this procedure as I heard from others that said it does not work. I too am thinking about fillers but am a little nervous since many people said they came out looking worse with lumps beneath their eyes. that area of the eye is so thin skinned that it is difficult to inject there and have good results, much less lasting results. I hope the eye gel is helping. Please let me know. I use L'Oreal revitalizing eye cream and its still too soon to tell. Regards. Debra
Debra - I just wanted to clarify that I didn't have the Fraxel Re:Pair my under eye hollowness, I had it for overall skin improvement to my face/neck area. I'm sure it doesn't produce optimal results for everyone, but I have been very happy with my results thus far. The skin tightening produced by the Fraxel DID make my under eye hollows more prominent while the new collagen was forming, but I believe my eyes look better today than they did pre-FR. Still not ideal, but not too shabby for a older chick like me. ;-)
I am still using the Elastiderm, and I do think it's helping. However, as I mentioned before, it's difficult for me to say which benefits have been derived from the Elastiderm, and which from the Fraxel. How is the L'Oreal working for you?
Everyone is looking for the perfect eye cream. Let's face it, we need help with dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and saggy loose skin. I have had good results with my clients using Teamine Eye Complex especially for dark circles and puffiness. It increases microcirculation, drainage and skin renewal. I have several other brands I use but for dark circles especially, Teamine Eye Complex has worked the best. Ingredients such as vit E, Aloe, Vitamin K, Lavender, Avocado and Grape seed extract give a powerful punch.
