What to expect when I get there for surgery.

I have horrible anxiety and even though my TT is almost 3 months away I am wonder what to expect when I get there the morning of surgery. I already warned my doctor about the anxiety and he mentioned he would give me something to take the morning of surgery to help calm my nerves. So when you got there, what were the steps they took before they put you under? Also, what was it like when you woke up? Where you completely out of it until you got home and realized surgery was over?
