What to expect in the first 24 hours after a MM. I like to know ahead of time what to expect.

I have read a lot of reviews and articles on the first 2 weeks but I'm wondering what the first 24 hours are like. I know this is probably when the pain is the most intense and most are under lots of medication. My husband will be home for a few weeks and we have 3 kids. I'm just wondering what to expect as far as how much will I rely on him in the first day or so. Will he need to be my my side for the first 24 hours to help me get up to pee and take my meds, etc? Will I need to change dressings/gauze? Will stuff be oozing from the wound? Will I be pretty awake/lucid or be groggy and asleep? Thanks for any responses.
