All I keep reading about is the en bloc, and how important it is to do removal this way.  Saw my PS (who is on the list of en bloc surgeons) and he feels I only need to have a local, deflate the implants then remove. Original BA was areolar incision, but he'd be doing the incisions under the breast this time.  Thankfully I've had no problems with my implants. I've just never been comfortable with them.  I run, do yoga and workout quite a bit and just want them out of the way!! I have 300 cc (filled to a bit more on each side) mentor smooth saline implants, BA 2006.  I like the idea of local (recovery wise) because I'm sure that means I'll be back to my workout routine quicker, but I'm worried about not doing en bloc. Anyone have their implants removed this way? I don't want to risk having to go through another surgery in the future.

Thanks for your post! I think en bloc removal totally depends on your individual situation. Here's what some doctors have to say about that.
