Embarrassing Question, but need to know!

After the first few days of surgery....were you able to wipe yourself after you went to the bathroom? I'm a very private person, and I do not want to have my husband or sister-in-law doing it for me :/ Thanks in advance. Kristen

Lmao. I am the same way and I have read on here of people not doing it themselves!! I WAS able to, but to be totally honest I couldnt reach around "back" because it requires a little bit of arching my back (maybe cause I'm short??) so, I had to go through the front to get to the back! Haha that is as gracefully as I can answer that! Hope it helps

LOL we'll its been 3 days post op and I have even pooped! But I'm pretty sure I can reach to do it. I bought flushable wipes for when I do, so I don't have to wipe too many times.

Yes - I was able to do it. It is hard to reach the back, so I went through the front. By the time I did #2 (5 days post op) I was able to reach the back easier! I like to keep that stuff private from my husband & he has never in all these years seen me on the toilet! I am glad no one had to help!

LOL...yes you will!   My husband told me that unless I had two broken arms I had better figure it out...LOL

It was fine so don't worry about that.  You will figure this all out quickly.

I guess my husband figured he had done his time with the baby's diapers so there was no way in beans he was going to wipe my booty..LOL

I was able to do it all on my own. I am also very private. I just had my husband on the other side of the door incase I needed him.

Hi!

No I was not able to wipe my butt for the 1st week. My mom had to do it for me and while yes it is embarrassing I just couldn't bend myself backward to do it s I had no choice. I am 3 weeks out and while I am wiping myself it is still a bit difficult.

haha I havent had my surgery yet but i have had 2 c sections. the first one was emergency so it was very painful and as you know you bleed after having a baby and when I went to pee my husband (ex husband now)lol had to wipe me lol. but he was really helpful and new that it was to help me and thats all that mattered!
