Can dry heaving have caused damage?

I am 3 weeks PO today from an extended mini tummy tuck. After dinner I felt sick and then dry heaved really hard 3 times. I was wearing my compression garment. I'm super sore and uncomfortable right now, which I guess would be expected, but I'm concerned I might have damaged something internally. I emailed the nurse at my PS office, but it's Friday night so I'm not expecting an answer right away. Anyone have a similar experience? Are there signs I should be looking for that might signal internal damage?

I'm so sorry I didn't get to your post this weekend! What did your doctor say about possible damage? Did he or she say not to worry?

No problem! My doctor said everything should be okay and not to worry. I just panicked in the moment because I've been so aware to not cough or sneeze and then I almost vomit. The soreness was gone by morning.
