I had drains for a day and I was told not to wear any type of bra. As a matter of fact, I didnt even need to wear a bra until around 8 weeks post op because my breast were so "perky" while still swollen. Just listen to your PS and try to follow what he says.

I didn't have drains but am wearing a sports bra but since its not really for support more for keeping gauze in place and sensitive breast tissue from being rubbed.

I posted this question from my phone and didn't finish it! Anyway, I am curious if any other women have been told by their PS that they will not wear any type of bra after surgery and they will not have drains. I'm wondering if it will be kind of painful walking around without support. I guess they won't be as large, so maybe not.

I'm day 3 post op. I haven't been wearing a bra. I do have drains and the bra makes the drains hurt more. I also can't wear a bra over the nipple grafts I had to have. They are swollen and therefore hard so no support is really needed.
