I had my first procedure done with Dr. Su a year ago on my legs/inner/outer thigh. I had gone to numerous consults and no one made me feel confident that they could do a job better than Dr. Su!! The artistic standpoint of his credentials have more significance than you think. A true artist has a vision and skill to create the beautiful end result. Any plastic surgeon or doctor may know how to do procedures however that does not mean they are good at it!! Go see Dr. Su and you will see proof of HIS not advertisers before and after pictures. Needless to say I have been back for more procedures and could not be happier!!!!! He has given me a confidence and beauty that I never thought I could achieve on my own. I work out daily and eat healthy to maintain my results. As far as pain is concerned everyone is different. I personally did not experience anything unusual or unbelievably painful. I was back to normal very quickly. Anyone who does experience pain is not the fault of the Dr. Different bodies react differently. Finally in regards to the negative posts. I think we all know that it's easy for anyone or any other competitor to try and post horrible degrading comments about others. I'm the end it's because they're JEALOUS!!!

Any post made by anyone who calls Dr. Su an Artist, works for him, or it is him. That is his gimmick "Art lipo" he went to "Art School" he has his "Art work" posted all over his office and he gives you signed copies of his drawings in your goodie-bag after surgery. Realself is supposed to be for REAL patients giving REAL feedback to other patients, not for Doctors and Staff to pad bad reviews and sugar coat the truth. Dr. Su's work is good, it just isn't great, and isn't done in the best setting, or using the best practices.

Wow people really need to do there research. This doctor is primary care physician NOT general or plastic surgeon. For what he offers you can go to spa and have Liposuction done. How silly to pay someone that kind of money and the physician doesn't have credentials. Not to mention he does lipo in office setting. Look into the laws on liposuction in office setting. You can only remove so much so most REAL surgeons would use ambulatory center or there office which is credentialed as facility WHICH HE IS NOT! Most real doctors or I should say real surgeons would use anesthesia too. He likes to role play as a surgeon that's for sure!

I did not originally go to Dr. Su. I had lipo twice before I went to him. Dr. Su did the corrective work after I had paid $9,000 to "the best" doctor in town to "learn" lipo on me (I am going to name him Dr. X for the purpose of this post). I had lipo on my inner thighs with fat transfer to front thighs in 2006 - that turned out OK. In November 2013, I spent an enormous amount of money ($9,000) for liposuction on my mid section, 2nd attempt to correct the front thighs, arm lipo and a belly scar revision. Dr. Thomas Su did lipo on my abdomen and love handles yesterday 02/21/14 to correct the mess the other two doctors had left behind. I am hoping to be able to post all of my pictures. I cannot describe the disappointment I experienced with my 2nd procedure done by Dr. X. It left me devastated and hopeless thinking that I would never look the way I imagined and hoped to look. Prior to the 2nd procedure, I was told by Dr. X’s assistant that I would need to massage the areas; after the procedure I was told that in order to get the best results I should get daily professional massages and ultrasonic cavitation. I had already spent 9K so now I felt it would be stupid of me to not get the "best" results because I was cheap on the massages. I spent $1,400 on 4 weeks of massages and $200 on a Groupon for 12 ultrasonic cavitations in Westchase spa. THE RESULT --> LOOK AT MY PREOP PICS WITH DR. SU. I went to Dr. Su for a consult because I felt Dr. X was ignoring my concerns and I needed a second opinion. At Dr. Su's office, Ellen greeted me warmly as I entered the beautifully designed office. We talked for about 10 min, I told her about my prior experience and then she let me change and came back in with Dr. Su. Dr. Su spent 45 min with me, addressed every area of concern and showed me exactly what I can expect if I decided to let him work on me. He was very thorough and confident that he can do what I wanted. Dr. X had told me I had to live with the way I looked and that's just how my anatomy was. After the lipo with Dr. X my obliques had fat bulges making my abdomen very unattractive. It also appeared that above the belly button, only the scar was revised, but no lipo was done. Overall I had 70% of my belly fat remaining in uneven contour. My arms looked exactly the same and my tights with slight improvement. I pointed out those areas to Dr. Su and he agreed that my results should've been better. I left Dr. Su's office angry that I hadn't gone to him first. A month later, after consults with 2 other doctors, I scheduled a second consult with Dr. Su; I wanted to make sure we are clear on my expectations before I put a down payment and reserve an appointment for the procedure. I will try to post all the pictures if real self allows me. After doing the mid section, I am now determined to have Dr. Su redo the arms and the front thighs. THE DAY OF MY PROCEDURE 2/21/14: I arrived at Dr. Su office nervous and ready to be disappointed again. After all, I was told by Dr. X that I was built this way and I already had the best result I could expect. But I had to give it one last chance... Well, I am glad I did!!!! My appointment was at 12:30 pm and at 5:30pm I left the office a changed person. I’ve been smiling since. Dr. Su did amazing work. He toughly is an ARTIST! During the consult, I was told that I am going to be awake and I would stand up multiple times and that I would see my final results before I leave his office - THAT'S UNHEARD OF! I didn't quite get the picture of how I would see the final results immediately after the procedure. It simply didn't click at first. Well, everything happened as described - I was able to see my future shape immediately after the lipo because the swelling hadn't started yet. Then I was put in my garment and sent home. I went eating with my boyfriend right after the procedure. After having my stomach and my love handles done and I am now determined to have Dr. Su redo the arms and front of my tights. I am now confident that if there is any doctor who can fix me, that is Dr. Su and he really is the BEST! I will now let you see and judge by the pictures. I AM THRILLED AND LOOKING FORWARD TO POSTING MORE PICS AND DOING THE OTHER AREAS WITH DR. SU!

So are thrilled with your results a day later? I would be nervous and scared too if I had picked a primary care physician to correct work done by someone else. Really....you have bad experience and spend that kind of money but choose a primary care doctor not plastic surgeon. Did you know plastic surgeons don't operate on people? Geeezzzz you aren't very good at research.

happy with your results the next day? That's very odd for lipo. You should be swollen. You spent all that money and then second time around you used a primary care physician to correct issue. Did it every dawn on you to use a plastic surgeon or at least general surgeon. I think you got ripped off TWICE NOW!!!!

Cynthia, your comments are not very friendly. You do not have to be a plastic surgeon to perform a liposuction. A liposuction is just that, and yes I did do my research this time. In fact one of the best plastic surgeons in Tampa told me that he refers his most difficult (etc. revisions) cases to Dr. Su because lipo is all he does. I know, especially after my results, that I made the right choice cause I haven't stopped smiling and I am buying bathing suits. Practice makes perfect in almost anything in life and Dr. Thomas Su does several lipos per day. I just wish I knew how to post my pics without starting a new thread. Maybe real self admin can help with that. Please advise. FYI, I had almost no bruising and , YES you can see results immediately after the procedure because swelling takes several hours to begging showing.

Looks great Cynthia because you weren't obese and 250 pounds over weight. You were good patient for liposuction and I bet you would of had SAME results if not better with ANY plastic surgeon. Did you know hemotoma is a complication for any surgical procedure and because Dr. Su is a Primary care physician he would not be able to handle since he is NOT a surgeon. With that said when you do lipo on someone who clearly completely over weight and sell them price tag of $11,000 and they have excess skin hanging everywhere can Dr. Su fix this? No, he sure can't. Now the patient just paid 11k for lipo and needs the proper treatment of tummy tuck for 7,500. While would lipo by a primary care physician exceed the cost of tummy tuck by surgeon? Why would you pay three times of the national average according to plastic surgery society for lipo by primary doctor. Nothing unfriendly just stating the facts. You are correct primary can do lipo but who trained him? The manufacturer of the lipo machine? I don't think this is part of primary physicians fellowship to learn and practice lipo. You mentioned you paid over $9000 with prior doctors before Dr. Su but never mentioned what you were charged by him. As you can see on the other comments 11,000 people paid. I just pointing out 11k you can have tummy tuck and lipo of entire body but board certified surgeon. Call any plastic surgeon Dr landon, Dr. Eberback and same service done at fraction of the cost in real ambulatory setting under anesthesia. Dr. Su does this at his office because he doesn't have hospital credentials because he isn't surgeon. Here is one article that clearly states "surgeon" and states in office setting there are laws to what you can remove. http://www.liposuction.com/how-to-pick-a-surgeon.html. This doctor is a cash mill and will do lipo on anything moving even if there not good for the procedure to make a dollar. That's why he practices outside of his training and doesn't bill health insurance like normal physicians. He is good sale person and collects money for desperate over weight people.

First: Cynthia, I don't know what you are so mad about. This website is for posting personal experience for procedures in the medical / cosmetic field so that other people can make the right choice for themselves personally. This site is not for belittling people and their choices. My review is a review of my experience. Second: If you read the actual review carefully, you will see that my cost with Dr. Su was $4,500. I paid a near $9,000 for a board certified plastic surgeon prior to going to Dr. Su AND had the procedure done under general anesthesia at ARMENIA OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER - which is an ambulatory center. My precise point is that the price tag, the name, the certification, education and all impressive credentials of the FIRST PLASTIC AND COSMETIC SURGEON (who's name I purposefully keep private) were not enough to measure up with the results I achieved through someone like Dr. Su who performs liposuction and liposuction ONLY. Third: Liposuction is a procedure for contouring the body and to remove fat deposits from areas that are difficult to improve or perfect with diet and exercise. Lipo is not for you if you are/were overweight and need a Tummy tuck. If you need a Tummy tuck - then go to Dr. Landon. Fourth: I did consult with several doctors and one of the names you mentioned is actually the doctor who referred me back to Dr. Thomas Su, because my case was more complicated then a simple lipo due to all the scar tissue formation from the prior procedure. Fifth: If you are interested in someones statement or experience please get all the facts straight and if you don't understand ask the question instead of attacking their post. I posted the prices, I stated I had NO SWELLING with Dr. Su and if there is a confusion or question about anything, I'll be glad to answer and actual question. Finally: I have spent enough time answering your posts. Please move on to your next hobby and leave my post alone. Thank you for all your attention and please feel free to browse thru all my reviews and see actual pictures of the results for yourself.

Happy Girl, thank you so much for replying to Cynthia Browns angry posts. I have seen people like her posting all over other peoples comments and wonder if they work for the doctor they are promoting in their commentaries. If they do, shame on those doctors for hiring someone to put down another qualified doctor.

Happy Girl, great post. I was reading this thread and wondered what Cynthia Brown was so angry about. Every now and then I see people like her posting all over this site and naming one specific doctor that they think is the best. It sounds as if they work for that doctor and are trying to run an ad campaign at the expense of another doctors reputation.

What Doctor do you work for?

You definitely work in his office. Sounds like the same load of crap we were given right before they ran my card for $5,200. It was a horrific nightmare. I felt like I was in the movie Saw.

Not worth pain and horrible outcome. $4000 for cellulite.

The pain was grueling. My results are good, but I have some residual that I have to have fixed. I am going to a doctor who can put me under for that, there is no way I would EVER be awake for that again.

I am thrilled with my lipo that was done recently by Dr. Su. The results are fantastic! Dr Su's demeanor is wonderful, and he was great with me as a patient and also so knowledgeable! Just check his site I have never seen so many before and after photos- really lipo is all that he does - he is a master and he has found his perfect niche I would not go to anyone else no matter if they were the head of Plastic surgery at Harvard - I know a few women that made a choice to go elsewhere and they have told me multiple times they wished they had gone to Dr Su. I am so happy I made the best choice for me and I firmly recommend Dr. Su to anyone thinking about lipo! As a side note when I left he even gave me his personal cell phone in case I had any problems that night! (that is just what he does for all of his patients!)

Dr. Su just did my chin and jowl area last Tuesday. I am thrilled with the results. I actually have my chin and defined jaw line again. This took about 10 years or more off of my face. I am not at all pain tolerant, to me this was uncomfortable not painful. All I took after the procedure was extra strength Tylenol.

I just had a consult with Dr. Su and i really like him and would love to have him due to lipo since that is all he does but he is expensive. $10,500 for a wrap, which is all around the abdomen. I like it that he does his surgery at his office and that you are awake and that he makes you stand up so he can have you bend over to see the bulges that pop out since when you are laying down the surgeon cant really see that. Also, Dr. Su doesnt charge you if you have a bulge or something and need a follow up. If anyone has seen him or can recommend another great doctor that does lipo only please let me know!!
