Dr. Pontell (Media, PA) -- Anyone??

Hi, I'm new to these boards BACKGROUND INFO: I'm a 27 year old male and considering rhinoplasty. Located in New Jersey. I had my very first rhinoplasty consultation yesterday with Dr. Pontell in Media, PA. He seemed very genuine and he took some photos of me and altered them with his computer. I really liked the "after" photos which straightened out the hump on the bridge of my nose. Unfortunately, he didn't send them to me or print me out a copy so I can't post them here. Anyway, does anyone have any experience with Dr. Pontell? I did a search and could only find a few hits, but he seems to have good reviews and only specializes in facial surgeries. Any other specialists you recommend in NJ/PA/NY? I really like Dr. Pontell but I want to get some more feedback before I book a surgery date. Any input is greatly appreciated it. Thanks so much!

thinking of getting under eye bags done with dr pontell... i have very bad bags,,,i want to be awake for this surgery, can anyone tell me about the process and pain level?

You will be thrilled. He's a master at his art and has taken such great care of me. I had my surgery on 3/23 and just went for my 2 week appt today. I already look amazing! He is truly a gifted man an you will not be dissapointed. Hes smart, caring, understanding and patient! I wih you the best of luck!!! Also did my surgery for my wedding ;)

It was so great to find this post! I have a consultation for rhinoplasty scheduled on April 30th with Dr. Pontell. He is the only PS I could find in the area that does only facial plastic surgery with GREAT reviews. I am so excited for my consultation but was hoping to get in sooner.. I took the first available appointment but it is a month away. I am getting married in January and don't want to put the surgery off too long so I can heal properly before the wedding! Just a hint.. I found a lot of not so great reviews on Dr. Brenman so I will not be scheduling a consultation with him.

I had rhinoplasty with Dr. Pontell last August and I am very happy with the results. He is a genuinely good person as well as an amazing surgeon.

Dr. Pontell is a rockstar when it comes to facial plastic surgery in my area. Everyone wants him to operate on them and you are lucky if you get an appointment without too much wait. I learned about him from my dermatologist who raved about him. I first looked him up on Vitals.com and was very impressed. I LOVE my nose and he cured my breathing issue at the same time as making me look sooo much better !!

Ive been working ith Dr. pontell and see him again tomorrow to schedule surgery or March I hope :) he is great and I'm confident I will be happy! Good luck!!!

I booked it, surgery on 3/23! He's been great! Have you talked to Dr. Pontell again? I consulted with Dr.Brenman and Dr.Glunk but Dr.Pontell I knew would be the one right away. Instantly felt comfortable with him and I love that his speciality is the face while the others do a ton of other procedures. I want someone who is a pro on the face. I don't want to end up like MJ lol :)

Congrats Chrissy! I'm excited for you. No, I have not had a follow-up appointment yet. I had consultation #2 with Dr. Eric Joseph in West Orange, NJ. Next week, I'm meeting with Dr. Thomas Le in Baltimore, MD. Then I'm going to decide between the 3 of them!

Hi there! Thanks for finding us and posting in the rhinoplasty forum. I don't have any specific info for you on Dr. Pontell, but here is a list of rhinoplasty doctors in your area. I would consider going on 3 consultations and choosing someone who specializes in rhinoplasty. Very important to pick someone who's done this many times.

I would also recommend starting your story in our review community. You can update it, add photos and video, and it is, IMHO, the best place on the site to get support.

I can't comment on rhinoplasty, but can confidentally say I am very happy two months post op with the work Dr. Pontell did on me. I would agree with other comments to go to at least three surgeons. I went to five and I selected Dr. Pontell hands down!!!
