Has Anybody had Dr. Anil R. Shah or Dr. Rodger Wade Pielet for Rhinoplasty or otoplasty???
By Chicago-Girl on 13 Dec 2010
I am considering both procedures rhinoplasty and otoplasty and was wondering if anybody has had a consult or any procedure done with any of these two doctors? IT would really help? Also, any recomendations! Thank you!

American woman: are you gonna do a rhinoplasty with him? I am thinking abou tit too but he seems to be quite young....
Just before the surgery he changed his words and I was stunned.
Since it is your revision, he is not good for revisions, I will get another rhinoplasty next year from a much experienced and well known doctor, you can see my profile, if you have any questions you can always send me
In 2010 Dr Anil Shah was a member of the 'Medical Justice'. It is an organisation of attorneys who protect doctors' reputation online. They were even caught posting positive reviews themselves.
Dr. Shah has always listened very closely to my concerns. I have never felt rushed or disrespected.
Whatever he did for my breathing is amazing. Before surgery, I could not breath through my nose more than 15% of the time. Now I can breath through my nose close to 100% of the time. I feel like a totally different person.
My physical recovery in terms of swelling have been slow. I have had a few triamicinolone injections in the tip which have helped a lot, but the swelling persists. The swelling around the bridge is mostly resolved. I do NOT believe the slowness of recovery reflects Dr. Shah, but rather my own body's healing process.
Recently, the bridge and side of my nose had callouses (or something like this) that required in-office rasping. The cast will be removed next week, but I was not prepared for the amount of swelling in my face and nose. One of my eyes is still swollen shut and the tip and sides of my nose are swollen again. I expected some swelling, but not like this. I will post updates as I recover.
Again, I do not believe my body's responses to this type of procedure are a reflection of Dr. Shah's skills, just my body. But, I would be lying if I wasn't a little bit anxious about my recovery this time.
The kenalog injections and in-office procedures have not been any additional cost to me. Dr. Shah knew when I first came to his office that I did not (and do not) have health insurance and has been very professional to keep treating my case as he does.
I also had Radiesse under the eyes, over the cheekbones, and in the laugh lines injected in January. Everything looks very natural and am pleased with the results.
Just to summarize, I recommend Dr. Shah. I trust him. I will continue to post updates about my progress.
i am only 3 weeks post op and i am already very happy with his work. of course, i am no where near the final result, its only been three weeks like i said, but SO FAR i had a great experience. and the bruises under my eyes have actually been a bigger bother than my nose, and those are already gone.
i had septoplasty and rhinoplasty work done. thought, for now im not perfect...(and im not supposed to be yet) but even at this point my breathing is a lot better than before surgery. aaaand tho im still officially "swolen" ...i dont really notice it. i been goin out, no one notices anything, and a few people have complimented me on my "natural beauty" lol.....a lil more expensive than "natural" but ill take it ;]
i have ONE concern however, my nose is a liiiiiitle croocked to the left, but its something only i seem to notice. it does bother me a bit, BUT 1)im 3 weeks post op so its most likely uneven swelling 2) there is assymetry in eeeeevery face it may be just since im swolen i notice it.
however, like i said, its very minor and something only i notice, and ive went out all over and i feel totally comfortable.
I LOVE my profile and the work he did on the tip!
i neeeever post reviews, but i remember researching before surgery and on the internet, there are tooooo many horror stories. well, u can find a horror stories about anything on the internet so i wanted to share my GREAT EXPERIENCE so hopefully u ppl will b less freaked out
dr. shah is very attentive, patient, did EXACTLY what i asked no "improvisation", he is very nice friendly.
his age did worry me a lil when i first met him.....hes real young ....but proved to be a PROFESSIONAL.
