I am considering both procedures rhinoplasty and otoplasty and was wondering if anybody has had a consult or any procedure done with any of these two doctors? IT would really help? Also, any recomendations! Thank you!

There's alot I can say about my experience with Dr Shah but I'll keep it as short as possible. I had to wait 40 mins in a small room after waiting for a short while in the waiting room, while in the background I can hear him walking back and forth having casual conversations with employees and clearly not doing anything. He took a very quick look on the inside of my nose, and then went straight to the pictures... which were only in one type of lighting... rather than taking time to look at my nose itself, he seemed to rely on the pictures on his computer more. He seemed to want to take the easy way out on the surgery and told me he didn't think I needed my tip fixed and liked the length of the nose.. when he didn't seem to understand the most damage to my nose was done to the tip. He did seem to have some knowledge, but didn't mention things that another doctor had mentioned in a consultation, showing his lack of experience as compared to someone who's been doing this for alot longer. The part that I didn't like is, he tried to throw other procedures at me saying what he wanted done with my face and what he thought would look good, when I only came in for a rhino/septoplasty. It was basically like saying "this needs to be like this , i can bring this out more, ic an fix this ".. and im like thinking 'seriously dude? can we focus on my nose' I'm glad I didn't choose him as my surgeon just because I'm sure he's not bad but THE SIGNS ARE CLEAR! 1) He's still young in this field, he is lacking the experience that other Dr's and Surgeons have 2) THe lack of pictures on his site is a big sign in my opinion considered the other Dr i went to had at least 50-60 pics of rhinoplasty before and afters and were all flawless 3) He's part of a that medical justice thing where they have lawyers that scare people into removing bad reviews from websites 4) Not the most friendlist guy.. and the fact taht he's employed nothing but beautiful women in his office gives me a sign of his young personality. 5) I've read reviews in the past about him not taking responsibility for a b ad job he did before and jus walking out on the client after their shock and disbelief **Now DON"T take my review for granted! I've read reviews from people that he's done a good job on their nose so I know he's not terrible or anything.. Just not a doctor I'd feel comfortable choosing personally.

I'm in great need of a revision rhinoplasty. Can I ask who you went to see?

I didn't yet. I'm too scared my nose will get messed up but I still want one. Let me know if you hear of any good doctors. Who did your first rhinoplasty??

Anil Shah is the best nose doc in Chicago hands down. Had mine done 2 years ago.

Most doctor's keep referring me to Dr. Toriumi but he is super expensive. I have also seen Dr. Anil Shah's work and it looks good. I'm terrified myself of getting a botched nose.

Toriumi has so many bad reviews. There was a girl on here that lived close to me that got a rivision, her nose was messed up bad, and she went to Dr. Dayan in Chicago ( Im sure I spelled it wrong) and it looked great! Did u get a first rhinoplasty? Who did it? Did u like it?

I loved my first rhinoplasty by Dr. Drammis but he retired. Dr. Pritikin screwed up my nose by doing a septoplasty to supposedly breath better. I don't think Dr. Dayan is a great nose doctor. So worried and confused but it will be between Dr. Shah and Toriumi. The only thing that terrifies me is getting a big ugly nose since my situation will require some grafting . Seen so many bad Toriumi reviews but his work is impressive. Dr Shah has some nice before and after pics too. Have you heard about Dr. Shah?

Hey SOfia, sorry for the late response. I've seen Turowski and Shah so far. Turowski is super experienced and has a great education from Yale and Harvard! He's in Skokie though. I'm thinking about going to Dr Moynihan. He's super experienced and unlike other doctors, he focuses SOLELY on the face.. he doesnt do anything besides the FACE.. is trained in ENT and specializes in noses, inside and out

Dr Turowski and Dr Moynihan are the best. Dr Moynihan does nothing but faces and is a certified ENT specialist.. he specializes in noses inside and out.. and nose fractures. He's got alot more experience than Dr Shah. Toriumi seems like he's been in the business too long nad is sick of his job.. I hear nothing but bad reviews about him. Dr Turowski is great, has a Harvard and Yale education but he does a plethora of procedures.. where as Moynihan focuses on nothing but face and facial features, eyes, nose, skin, etc

Thank you. I might see Dr. Moynihan. Dr. Turowski is great surgeon but I don't think he specializes in noses. You're right Toriumi has so many bad reviews out there.

Dr. Moynihan seems like a great choice! My friend had a consult with Turowski but was turned off by the porn star looking employees. I heard he was good though.

Dr. Turowski is a great surgeon. My friend had an excellent breast enhancement and lift.

I am thinking if going to Dr. Shah for a fourth rhinoplasty. I am trying to decide between Dr. Shah, Frankel or Guyuron. If anyone has any experience with this doctor I would love to hear about it, please feel free to pm me too.

I had my Second Rhinoplasty (Revision Rhinoplasty) from him and I am not satisfied, he didn't listen to me, one of the major issues I had was over projection of my left tip because of which I have confidence and concentration issues, i addressed him that before my surgery but he was not able to solve that, I would not recommend him to you for revision.

Just before the surgery he changed his words and I was stunned.

Since it is your revision, he is not good for revisions, I will get another rhinoplasty next year from a much experienced and well known doctor, you can see my profile, if you have any questions you can always send me

Considering V1 & vee_2323 say they are happy with their experience, I do nt think it will be a problem to post their pictures here (you could cover your eyes for anonymity)...

In 2010 Dr Anil Shah was a member of the 'Medical Justice'. It is an organisation of attorneys who protect doctors' reputation online. They were even caught posting positive reviews themselves.

I had rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction with Dr. Shah in April 2011.

Dr. Shah has always listened very closely to my concerns. I have never felt rushed or disrespected.

Whatever he did for my breathing is amazing. Before surgery, I could not breath through my nose more than 15% of the time. Now I can breath through my nose close to 100% of the time. I feel like a totally different person.

My physical recovery in terms of swelling have been slow. I have had a few triamicinolone injections in the tip which have helped a lot, but the swelling persists. The swelling around the bridge is mostly resolved. I do NOT believe the slowness of recovery reflects Dr. Shah, but rather my own body's healing process.

Recently, the bridge and side of my nose had callouses (or something like this) that required in-office rasping. The cast will be removed next week, but I was not prepared for the amount of swelling in my face and nose. One of my eyes is still swollen shut and the tip and sides of my nose are swollen again. I expected some swelling, but not like this. I will post updates as I recover.

Again, I do not believe my body's responses to this type of procedure are a reflection of Dr. Shah's skills, just my body. But, I would be lying if I wasn't a little bit anxious about my recovery this time.

The kenalog injections and in-office procedures have not been any additional cost to me. Dr. Shah knew when I first came to his office that I did not (and do not) have health insurance and has been very professional to keep treating my case as he does.

I also had Radiesse under the eyes, over the cheekbones, and in the laugh lines injected in January. Everything looks very natural and am pleased with the results.

Just to summarize, I recommend Dr. Shah. I trust him. I will continue to post updates about my progress.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Shah.
i am only 3 weeks post op and i am already very happy with his work. of course, i am no where near the final result, its only been three weeks like i said, but SO FAR i had a great experience. and the bruises under my eyes have actually been a bigger bother than my nose, and those are already gone.
i had septoplasty and rhinoplasty work done. thought, for now im not perfect...(and im not supposed to be yet) but even at this point my breathing is a lot better than before surgery. aaaand tho im still officially "swolen" ...i dont really notice it. i been goin out, no one notices anything, and a few people have complimented me on my "natural beauty" lol.....a lil more expensive than "natural" but ill take it ;]
i have ONE concern however, my nose is a liiiiiitle croocked to the left, but its something only i seem to notice. it does bother me a bit, BUT 1)im 3 weeks post op so its most likely uneven swelling 2) there is assymetry in eeeeevery face it may be just since im swolen i notice it.
however, like i said, its very minor and something only i notice, and ive went out all over and i feel totally comfortable.
I LOVE my profile and the work he did on the tip!

i neeeever post reviews, but i remember researching before surgery and on the internet, there are tooooo many horror stories. well, u can find a horror stories about anything on the internet so i wanted to share my GREAT EXPERIENCE so hopefully u ppl will b less freaked out

dr. shah is very attentive, patient, did EXACTLY what i asked no "improvisation", he is very nice friendly.

his age did worry me a lil when i first met him.....hes real young ....but proved to be a PROFESSIONAL.
after watchin my process my mom is actually thinkin bout a nose job too (with dr shah of course) and ive recommended him to a few friends already.

good luck, stop worrying!
"hes so young how many has he done?" well, he "practiced" on me and def did a great job lol
