Did everyone have general anestesia?

I thought this was the only way to do a TT and I just saw a post on another site that she had it done with local.  I guess I dont remember what my doctor said (he did say the anestesia) was included but I dont recall if he said local or general.  No way I would do it with local - my nerves would be shot!  My doc is ot in his office until Monday so I am freakin out now.  My surgery is Friday! What did you have?
