How Did You Find That Others Reacted to Your Rhinoplasty?

Lol are u having a drastic change? I got in a fight with my mom and she wanted to upset me so she told me my nose doesn't look that different. She only said it to hurt me. I know it isn't true.

My change will be drastic. Because my nose is long, with a huge hump, crooked (deviated septum), droopy tip and my face is very very pixie and petite. Literally my face is only nose :/ when the hump is removed and the nose shortened people will notice. I'm so worried. I'm planning to say my op went wrong and the surgeon broke my nose and had to repair it. My family (expect my parents, they r supporting me) is so old fashioned, they won't understand. Plastic surgery topic came around on the dinner table( randomly) and my grandad said 'people who do it are plainly stupid and vain', my aunt said ' if my child ever wanted it, I'd say go away and get life'. You don't expect me to tell that judgmental bunch I'm having a cosmetic surgery, do you? Back to what your mum said...I read that many people say their colleagues and family can't pinpoint what is different. They can see there is sth, but can't tell it's the nose. So unless your mum focuses on people's noses ( I do...and I guess many rhinoplasty patients do too), she might not think there is a huge difference in your actual nose.

Yeah I thought everyone on earth would notice and talk about it until I met my surgeon and he said most people won't even know what's different! He was right! Everyone is saying "you look great. I didn't recognize you for some reason?" I definitely stare at people's noses and analyze If they are nice or not lol. Before, I felt like everyone around me had such a nice nose compares to mine (your nose sounds exactly like mine from the description) and now that I have a really nice one, I look at other people's noses and think "mine is better" lol and they don't look that good to me anymore. My dad and sister haven't noticed. I think the change is subtle in life but in pictures a drastic difference can be seen because of light & shadow. When the light would hit the bump a certain way it was just awful!

Trust me, my nose is the worst on the planet. If there was a competition the most horrible nose, I'd win it. I beat all of your noses here by a mile. I can't believe people don't notice. I was teased a few times when I was 12, but never since. When people tell me I look pretty etc, I'm quite surprised and think to myself ' if I look pretty with this nose, a smaller one will get me to beautiful'. A nose can make or break your face. I know a girl with similar features to me and she has a perfect straight nose...it makes her look unbelievably beautiful, whilst mine brings me down to ok looking, kind of pretty. Many people say the nose isn't important, it's the eyes. But if the nose is too big, it takes away all the attention. I'm looking forward to my op. It's the 3rd today, mine is on the 12th and on the 22nd the cast comes off. I keep thinking, 20 days and I will be over.

Wow yours is soon =D so exciting! Nose is def the most important, but people born with small noses don't think so and have no appreciation for them. At least you are pretty--I was hideous with that nose! People just said I looks very "foreign" lol It was huge, Drooping, with a bump, "hook nose" and huge nostrils and boxy tip. It's interesting to see who does & doesn't notice the change. The people who don't notice are the ones focuses on eyes and the ones who can't recognize you at all afterwards are the ones you know we're busy staring at your nose and spot you by it. From a distance, friends can't spot me!!!

That is an interesting question. On one hand, I want to look better so in a way I guess I do want people to notice. I have heard people say that when they had plastic surgery done, other people thought they looked good but couldn't quite pinpoint why. To me, that sounds like an ideal reaction.

Yep that is how they have been reacting! =^D that's my small-nose smiley btw. They really can't figure it out. I don't understand. Are these ppl blind!?!? I almost wish someone would notice and say "wow your nose looks incredible!" Hahah instead I get "have you changed your makeup?"
