How do I deal with the last minute nerves?

By tifpartridge89 on 31 Dec 2012

Hello all, I am having breast augmentation on Friday 4th Jan 2013, so just a few days from now, and am getting really nervous! I am having submuscular implants with an inframmamory incision. I am not worried about the surgery, more about the breathing tube (gag reflex very sensitive and I had a camera before that I hated!) and about how I will feel about the results. I am quite petite and as such the implants are not exactly massive (around 200-250cc depending on space surgeon has), which when trying sizers made a huge difference. I am also terrified about something going wrong post-surgery with my recovery as I tend to feel pain easily and am worrying about doing something to cause the muscle to do something bad. What can I do to reassure myself it will all be fine? The surgeon is fantastic and I am very confident with the company I have chosen (Transpire Cosmetic Surgery) as it is a small company who pride themselves on patient care both pre and post op.

I came out of surgery thrilled, best bit being no memory of a tube whatsoever!!

You can do this! Deep breaths! :)

The breathing tube is inserted after you're asleep and you won't even be aware of it. Here's more on that.

It sounds like you've done a lot of research and preparation and all you have left to do is trust your surgeon and body to do their jobs.

Please keep us posted!
