Crooked Tip or uneven swelling?

By Star1987 on 19 Feb 2010

Just had rhinoplasty 7 weeks ago and now my tip looks crooked. is this common, will it ever look even? Is it possible that is uneven swelling? I'm so worried my nose will be crooked and I may need a revison. Please any advice will be helpful.

Hi swa, Be patient and don't spend too much time and anxiety with worry. Most likely everything will turn out okay. Stay in close touch with your surgeon and share your concerns. Worry will not make your nose any straighter, it is too early after your surgery with residual swelling to come to any conclusion yet. Good luck and be well. Let us know how it goes. Dr. P

My nasal tip tilted towards right, I am two weeks post rhinoplasty. What are the chances that this will subside and i will not end up have asymmetrical nasal tip as the time goes by ?

Hi Star, Time will tell. At this point it is too early to conclude that your nose will be crooked and that you will need a revision. Follow up with you surgeon. If after 6 to 12 months it is still crooked, then a revision can be considered. Good luck and be well. Dr. P
