When does complete soreness, tenderness go away?

By rolltide1 on 14 Jul 2011

It has been six weeks since my breast reductions surgery and my breast are still very tender and sore.  Some days are better than others but I am still experiencing some pain and discomfort.  From the outside appearance they look wonderful.  Is this normal to still be experiencing discomfort?

I am just 2 weeks out and still havent slept very well. Back at work on Monday so hopefully being busy will mean I am more tired. I have to wear the Zbra during the day and from today can do without it at night. Though I may try a soft bra just to hold things together! The shooting pains Nice to know that even through 6 weeks I will still have discomfort, better to know than to not know! Does anyone know how long the shooting pains and bruising takes to subside? H

Mine lasted for about 3 months.  Nothing terrible but sore in spots.

Yes...but it should get better each week. I'm seven weeks out and I still feel some tenderness and discomfort if I roll over onto my stomach while sleeping. The internal stiches take several months to heal...I was told to wait 3 months to wear a wire bra.
