How come plastic surgeons don't post much or any photos on their website?

I've been researching rhinoplasty for months and it's hard to decide who to make the consultation appointments with if there's no before and after photos to go by. (especially when they charge a high fee for consultations)
Many doctors do. It depends on who you choose. There is also quite a large library of before and after shots (posted by doctors) on RealSelf. You should be able to look up a doctor on RS (if he or she is active on the site) and see the shots they've uploaded. Hope this helps!
