Anti-Aging – Let the wars begin! I have gone through a ton of products and theories as far as anti-aging and the dreaded wrinkles that come with aging. There are such a multitude of anti-aging creams on the market - firming, reducing, night, day, two step - it’s so confusing that you’d give yourself more wrinkles just trying to work out what would be suitable.
The only products/theories I find to really work, as far as anti-aging and health, are a good healthy fruit, grain, lean meat and vegetable filled diet and regular daily exercise. Exercise works! For my face I have found that Obagi products really work! All of their products are superior to any others I’ve ever used. They are available through a physician or an aesthetician.
For my body wrinkles and sagging I find exercise and HoofMaker (Yes, it’s for horses but works GREAT on skin and nails and smells good as well) softens my skin and smoothes out wrinkles. It is available at a feed or tack store near you. My biggest problem with wrinkles are the dreaded chest and neck wrinkles. I don’t know exactly when they started, but they sure took over. The older I got---the worse they got. My chest look liked a road map by the time I was 40 and they were racing for my neck. I have found that ChestSavers work very well. They are a type of lingerie made to stop and remove the wrinkles. They’re pretty and they really work.
The last thing I must say is alcohol (the kind you drink, i.e. booze) makes your skin look older and, makes your body feel older. Abstinence from alcohol has become a must for me, as it seemed to dry out and dehydrate my skin giving it a much older appearance. Just my 2 cents worth. Lori Halls

I've just started taking COq10 ($30 at Trader Joes for 80)...I hear it's great for your skin and overall health.
I've been using COq10 for about a month and love it. Have you tried a few drops for your skin for jojoba oil? Its amazing.
Wrinkle cream: get the Kirkland brand at Costco...borghese makes it. top notch stuff
antiaging skin care: get your doctor to prescribe retin-A. Retinol works on facial lines
moisturizer - all the docs say cetaphil is gentle and universally good, face and body. my sister swears by kiss my face too.
SPF - get the dermalogica spf 30 booster and add it to your moisturizer
vitamins - like tonya55 says, i get it at trader joes, EFA (essential fatty acid) capsules and the COq10 pills
What about eye cream for firmness?
Hey SDstarfish
Well, I can only tell you what have worked for me. I'm originally from South Africa and love the sun. I was around 25 when I started noticing crows feet around my eyes and decided to do something about it. Too young to go under the knife, I decided to try out the organic Rooibos skin care products by Anniqe, a South African company that are using the red bush ingredient that has become so popular in tea.
I've been using it now for 10 years and am very happy with the results. Don't know what I would have looked like without using these products, but I can say that my skin looks as good today (34 yrs) as it did 10 years ago.
Since moving to the US, it has been harder to find the Annique Rooibos skin care products, but I do know that Whole Youth (http://www.wholeyouth.com) is the US distributor and may be able to help you find a local retailer.
I personally like the Rooibos Revitalising Cream Description from their website:
-----
The Annique Revitalising Cream is the perfect formula for the maintenance of youthful skin, or restoration of aged skin. The Revitalising Cream is fragrance-free to improve the action of the product and may be recommended for any skin type and age.
Revitalising serums are uniquely combined to retain moisture and to increase the elasticity of the skin, thereby re-establishing the skin's natural blush. Combined with the Annique Vitamin E Tissue Oil-ampoulettes, the Revitalising Cream can conquer any form of skin problem.

Good luck!!!
prevage eye treatment is my nightly eye care product. Too early to tell if it "works". I blogged about antiaging eye creams not too long ago. What are you using?
I would love to agree about chestsavers, but, sadly, my experience with "the company" has been horrible. I paid for several items (well over $100) and have received nothing. The company doesn't respond nor do they have a phone number that I can find (actually, I have found phone numbers, but they are all disconnected...i wonder why they don't want anybody calling them?). It's terrible! I have never been so frustrated. I just hope others who read this will be very careful; I have started a dispute with Paypal, but I doubt I will see my money again!
I too am having terrible experience with the "ChestSavers" company! I paid and have also received nothing. I only receive automated responses to my email inquiries stating that they will reply within 48 hours. So far, nothing............. I am so frustrated! I plan to file a complaint with Paypal. Buyers beware!
Hi, I am sorry to hear you have been caught in the chestsavers mire as well. I am still fighting the good fight, trying to get a refund, going on two months now! Have you had any luck?
Please don't waste your money. Chestsavers does not work...it may help the first night or two, but, by the third or fourth night it is useless. I am afraid the only thing that will work is if I re-adapt to sleeping on my back!
i have to disagree. i ordered the chestsaver after i saw it on this post and have been using it for about 4 weeks and it has worked since day one. i dont understand why it would stop working for you after two nights.
Chestsavers does not work. The "pillow" collapses in the crease while you sleep on your side, and the fabric is not strong or stiff enough to support ANY weight. I would never waste my money again on this product. Plus, a friend of mine just found out that, while PayPal ruled on her behalf to demand a refund against Chestsavers for an undelivered (perpetually-on-backorder item), the company cleaned out its PayPal account, so Paypal is not able to refund the money she is owed!
there is no 'pillow' on the chestsaver i think you might have a different product.
The "pillow" is the center foam portion. I used italics to indicate it was not actually a pillow, but something similar. It folds just like the skin folds because it is not stiff enough to withstand gravity. The product is useless! Just my two cents...
File a dispute with the Better Business Bureau under the company name Seagraves, that is what I am currently doing. I returned an unused item to them and they did not refund my money nor communicate with me. I filed a dispute with the banked, but they lied claiming that the item was returned used. I also tried calling the phone number on my bank statement but nobody answers. These people are con artists.
Nivea. I use it all over my face and body. I use the heavy creme that comes in the big blue jar, the lotions don't work as well. I live in Scottsdale, AZ so I understand how dry skin can get. I am 46 and my skin is in great shape and as long as I use it daily, it keeps me plumped out -- aka - no wrinkles!
I have to say I was very surprised with the results from Revitalift for the eyes from L'oreal. It really works and I look more "rested". Also, Neutrogena's extra gentle cleanser is very good and both of those products don't cost more than $20 each. As for anti-wrinkle, they are worth a splurge.... I like Prevage, wich I alternate weekly with a prescription Retin-A
After using revitalift daily for 2 bottles worth, I thought it was a pretty good sunscreen for casual activity (e.g. driving the car), but not appropriate for more intensive things like running, biking, etc. Saw no lifting effects or signs of looking more rested. Only catching up on sleep gave me that result.
I've changed over recently to Kiehl's sunscreen, which goes on much heavier and protecting. I appreciate the lower environmental impact packaging (a tube) vs. revitalift (as pointed out below, a ridiculously heavy bottle that seems to be more plastic then contents).
I use revitalift daily as a sunscreen becs it has meroxyl. Bottle is deceptive in what it holds and dispensing is slow, but it seemed to work great in my recent trip to asia (tons of sun!)
Ambi spot cream is my latest cheap skin care find. $5 and it works!
Good value creams that work !

I've been using a company called WQN for years now to call to both India and UAE. The quality is great and the rates are very competitive. voip provider US
Sorry to interrupt this thread, but we're looking for your opinion on a simple question that may lead to a complicated answer: when did you realize "I'm looking older".
