I know I have to do that (LOL) I will try to get that done. I have been kinda chicken to actually see them online..
@caroweeltrina --I still have several pounds I would like to loose too. The bad thing is I HATE to exercise I feel like it is work and I already have a job for that!!lol But one way or another I will get it done. After seeing the difference the surgery has done I can finish the touch ups!!

Hi just found this forum! I am 5'0" and 149 lbs. (pre tt). I had been noticing ladies reports of sizes and about exercise and it kindof scared me since I know I am actually considered overweight. But I had my tt on 10/6 and I am very pleased. I still have some swelling of course but I can wear my clothes very comfortably even at 6 days PO. So good to see other posts from other "shorties"!LOL

Absolutely!! I am 5'3" and was 160 pre tt, so it doesn't mean youwere not a great candidate. I am really pleased too, but now have to work on losing the extra weight. Good for you!!

Oh yes, this it totally normal especially for us petite gals. I am now 7 months post-op and even still, if I have too much sodium I get the major swell in the lower (and upper) abdomen and they say it can last for a year. At this point I believe it! I was back in "normal" clothes with little discomfort about 10 weeks. Know every day you ARE getting better, just hang in there.

Woohoo shorty's!! i am 5'1 and had my ftt with no lipo, on August 22nd. I am really loving having my flat belly after having my 5 kiddies but am still swelling heaps in the afternoon, especially on the pubic area :/ also, still can't fit into my jeans, well i can if they're unbuttoned, is this normal?
I'm just hoping that this is swelling and one day i will wake up and my clothes will fit again or even better, be loose but then i worry that this is it and even though i don't have that apron of flab anymore i am still looking weird with a big round tummy, big love handles and then my skinny legs poking out!
Oh geez i hope its only temporary!

Hi Girlie,
Yes this is normal and all part of the pesky recovery. My swelling taunted me until 7 months post op. Even to this day (18) months later I swell if I eat too much sodium or too much food. I think we probably swelled before surgery but didn't notice it under the hanging tummy. It does get easier as time goes by so just hang on.

that's true Kimmers, i used to swell even before when i had too much to eat or when TOM was around lol! so i guess i shouldn't expect to be mega flat now! I am getting sick of wearing sweat pants though :/ and i've noticed that when i swell i seem to have little dog ears, i don't know if that is just because of the swelling or if it's going to be a permanent fixture because my scar doesn't go as far back as others i've seen on here?! I know the swelling is crappy but it sure does beat the hanging belly for sure!!

Hi I am Jen I am 4'11" on a good day I might be 5'. I am with all of you when it comes to now where to go with the extra weight. I am a stock gal large boned (thanks dad).
I am scheduled for Nov 17th for a TT muscle repair and some lipo of the hips and thighs. I had a breast reduction done in 2006 and was pleased with the results. I am going to a different surgeon I was not happy with the doctors bed side manor I only met him the day of my surgery when he drew the game plan on my chest. His staff was wonderful and I was referred there by my PT. My surgeon for this procedure met with me the day I went in for my consult and was there for almost the entire consult I was very impressed and thrown back a little as to why the difference between the 2 Dr.'s. I was referred to this Dr. by my instructor for my med term classes that I took. She works there and said I would be amazed at the difference after I explained my BR experiance with her. I truely was.
I have my pro op set for Nov 3 the hubby is going with so he can be filled in on what is expected of him. He is being great.
Well till next time

Wow that's not too far off now. I had BA/BL TT with muscle repair...and my PS did some lipo on me that we didn't even discuss doing. I think maybe the dog ears that they talk about would possibly come from doing the tt without some lipo to smooth the areas at the en of the scar, but I can't be sure.

Hi! Shortie here! 5'2" 114lb. My TT is scheduled for July 20! I'm getting really nervous! I'm opting not to get lipo, but I'm concerned about what seems like extra skin all the way out to my hip area. I gained a lot of weight during my two pregnancies. I'd love to hear from anyone who's had their tt without lipo, to know how the hips turn out. I don't mind the womanly fat I have on them, but I don't want the incision to look bad.

I'm also 5' 2 & 3/4" tall and weigh about the same. I had my full TT and lipo July 28th. Lost more weight after the TT but then gained 7lbs back.. am now at 163... have a bit of an upper belly. I go to see PS on Friday... He had said not to diet and to eat what I want.. yeah... I don't think that was good advice!... BUT once I get cleared I am exercising and dieting again!
