The name of this forum is a little misleading....it says "calling all sexy grandma's" but then you get on here and it's for 50+ women. Not all of us grandma's are over 50. I'm 42 and my daughter has a 1/12 year old daughter so I'm technically a grandmother.

62 years old, 5' 10" weighing 150pounds. Should I or shouldn't I have a tummy tuck? Only place I'm fat is around my waist and abdomen and has been like this for the last 40years! Have not had kids so not sure if I need muscle tightening. Have scheduled surgery for sept 19 but I'm so scared of dying even though I've had other surgeries without complications.

Thanks for all of your helpful comments about wound healing. I saw my dr. this morning, and he said it was not infected, and was slowly healing. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since surgery, and he said it may take two or three more weeks, and to be PATIENT. I'll continue to apply the wet to dry gauze treatments until I see him again in 2 weeks. It's so wonderful to share with others of you who are around the same age, and had the surgery at about the same time. Very encouraging and helpful. Love my flat tummy!!!

Anyone having an issue with wound healing? I have a couple of places in the middle of my incision that are slow to heal. It's a little unsettling, but everyone tells me that it will heal in time, and that I have to be patient. I'm treating it with wet to dry gauze treatments twice a day. Any comments about that?

I had a small open area on my incision but they just had me put a mini pad over it and it dried tight up. So I think that is quiet common. Just keep an eye on it and note any changes to your PS.

I was told do not let it dry out. Keep moist with medicated ointment then cover with pad. If you let it dry out too quickly, it does not heal as well.

I think all PS have their own agenda for wound healing

My wound is a larger than normal. But I'm to keep it moist. I pack it with a saline soaked gauze covered with a dry gauze. From what I've read if something scabs it takes longer to heal and can look more unsightly.
