Calendar for Upcoming Tummy Tuck Surgery Dates for RealSelf Members

One of the hardest things about going through a medi-beauty procedure is feeling alone. Sure, you might have a supportive friend, relative, or significant other, but that’s not the same as sharing the journey with someone experiencing a similar mixture of excitement and nervousness.

Whether you want to find a surgery buddy or would like to support others heading toward their big day, check out RealSelf’s calendar of upcoming surgeries.

To get on the calendar yourself, start your tummy tuck story here and make sure you choose “Haven’t Done It Yet” to open the calendar feature. Once your review has been submitted and approved, you’ll be added!

If your surgery date changes, be sure to send a personal message to customer support so we can update you on the calendar.

Thank you for being part of RealSelf and we hope you enjoy this feature!

Two more days until procedure, June 10th have all my supplies and ready and nervous at the same time.

I am scheduled for breast reduction and lift plus TT on June 9th! Doc is not going to tightened the muscles though :(. She said too risky because I have visceral fat and no separation of the muscles during pregnancy that warrants correcting. Has anyone else had a tuck w/o muscle tightening?

Not sure how common this is but I could not urinate after my TT, and as a result needed a cathider inserted in my urethra. Ladies, if this happens keep calm it's no biggie. My only pain was the drive the next day to and from the clinic so take your pain meds if u need to return the next day!! I felt absolutely every bump on the road;-(

I had my pre-op appointment today. My doctor is so thorough and explained everything to me in full detail. He also showed me pictures. I also had written a list of questions to ask him. Count down 10 days away. It's scheduled June 10th not the 9th. I'm excited and a little nervous.

Hello Tara. I'm Megan a 24 year old mother of two small children. Just had my tummy tuck with lipo and muscle repair, Monday may 12th so just 2 says PO but feeling pretty good! The pain was not as bad as I anticipated. My pain tolerance is not very high either...your just really really really sore but it's not unbearable! Everything will go great for you and good luck!

Hi Tara! I'm one month post op today! It's been quite the journey. I'm a mom of three, and they're almost grown (2at home). The TOUGHEST part; having to ask for help! The pain was minor, the emotional roller coaster I was not prepared for. The anesthesia made me a bit weepy for about three weeks. Then the swelling kicked in and I also had seroma, which is fluid under the skin that has to be drained. So by week three I started to feel as if this was a big mistake. Now I have exactly one month postop I feel awesome, I'm still very limited as to what I can do. But my body is healing nicely, and what my doctor has said it's all the setbacks I've had a very common. I also split my incision open by about an inch, and I believe it was when I was leaning against the bathroom sink every morning to put my contacts in and apply my makeup. Due to the fact I couldn't feel that area I think I put too much pressure there and it caused that the split. But this is a very simple thing and it really didn't need to be stitched back up. My biggest advice to any mom with children at home is, you cannot clean, bend over, do anything super physical until your stomach has completely healed. I did not have muscle repair only a tummy tuck and they took a blood pressure cuff sized amount of skin off my stomach. (No weight of it was given to me) So mind your "P's" and "Q's" and do what the doctor tells you. No working out and only light walking, like an old man. :)

Congrats on your new journey!! Start eating a healthy balanced diet with your vitamins to prepare for this event. I had an extended TT on the first with muscle repair and lipo. Will u be having lipo of your flanks? My back was the worst of it all in my case so use your moisturizer and massage it often! Best of luck to u:-)

Thank you. I will have lipo on my flanks too. What type of vitamins I should be taking!
  • Reply
I was on Vitamedica recovery support program. You can buy them online if your surgeon doesn't have them available. The flanks is the most uncomfortable part because of the lipo and having that hunch the first couple of days. It gets better at about day 6.
