I sit here 1 year after my reduction and ab lipo and am facing it all over again. I have one breast that sits 1 1/2 to 2 cm lower (measuring to nipple), and is visibly larger. The other breast has a partially inverted nipple and a wing flap that hangs over the side incision. My abdomen looks like I have a crooked spine with deep valleys across my belly and my waist curving in on one side and not on the other. I look totally askew --- I am not happy and not looking forward to this corrective surgery. Having one breast larger than the other is not something that can't be lived with, but the nipples not lining up just isn't acceptable. At those times when my nipples are visible you can clearly see they are on different planes. I try to position my breast to minimize this but everything shifts and ultimately it is what it is. Because my nipples are often quite erect (I don't know how else to say it) you can see one nipple but not the partially inverted one the same. Imagine if you will how that looks. The abdominal lipo was just a mess and a terrible recovery. The breast surgery recovery was a piece of cake next to the recovery for lipo. I endured many sessions of deep tissue massage trying to improve the scar tissue and the furrows. My doctor led me to believe these would be eliminated by massage. I have wasted an entire year believing this. My surgery is scheduled for December 9th. Almost one year to the day. I will spend another Christmas season recovering. I haven't even bothered with all the prep for surgery yet. Last year I had purchased the supplements etc. to be in good shape. I am not sure it mattered. I don't have my original photos (blackberry went amuk) but I will post my current status with a photo and the post surgery results. Regarding my ps - he was the head of PS at a teaching hospital. Thought I couldn't do any better than that.
