I was thinking of you today! I'm well...going to my doctor on the 4th--can't wait to hear all he has to say.

I so hope you are feeling well--you've been on my mind. So, how are you feeling? Do you like your results? Do you have sensation in your nipples? Are you rsting? Fill me in, love!

Hi Lou! I was SO scared of the surgery. But it was incredibly easier than my enhancement. It has been 9 days and I'm just starting to experience some sensation in my nipples but it's minimal. The surgery itself was difficult for two days, that's it...although getting the strips, stitches and drains removed was uncomfortable but easily tolerable. My best advice is to trust your doctor and her skillful hands and mind. My breasts are already so beautiful! Scars will fade. I will be happy to answer any and all questions that I can for you. My only regret is that I waited so long. Stay in touch!

I just had my 15 year old implants removed on July 20th. I also opted for a breast lift. My Mentor Smooth Saline implants were 450cc each (full D). My PS told me that my remaining breast tissue would only allow a large A cup, perhaps a small B...if I remember correctly, I think I applauded. I feel WONDERFUL! Don't be afraid...follow your heart...

Wow! So glad you're happy with the outcome. Mine are 370cc and I'm also having a lift, which is the part I'm most anxious about. Do you have any advice about it please? Do you have any sensation in your skin at all? My ps had to give me the usual warnings about the risks of surgery and general anaesthesia etc... But the one that concerns me is the slight risk of the nipples not "taking" if the blood supply isn't 100% successfull. I know she has to say these things but I'm a bit of a worrier lol! She's a brilliant surgeon so I know she'll do the best work I could expect from anyone - I'm just nervous now - and excited at the same time.

SweetP, Congratulations on your successful explant!  I pray that you are resting and taking it easy.  The explant surgery can be somewhat deceiving especially since its normally significantly less pain than implant surgery.  Therefore give your body a chance to heal and try not to over do it!  Happy healing....wishing you the very best!

Hi GreenTemple...your timing is well, perfect. I was invited to a concert yesterday and since I'm a musician myself, I immediately said yes! Wearing my surgical bra, I packed my Motrin and off I went. My first post op outing. HUGE mistake. I spent much time sitting and wishing I had stayed home. Thank you for affirming what my body told me yesterday. Resting now. :)

Thank you for checking in on me! Ever since my lapse of common sense (the concert), I've seriously slowed my pace. Although tempted to paint my walls, walk the retrievers, clean out the attic, and so on, I continually remind myself to take it easy, allow time for healing and accomplish the little things.

I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU! My thoughts will definitely be with you! Please, please make sure you stay in touch! Wow...we will both be on the mend together!

Applause, applause to you....(standing ovation)...

Haha thank you!!! :D I know I won't be good at resting. If I'm sitting down I'll see all the things that need doing.

How are your stitches? Are you doing anything specific to help the healing?

Thanks for the ovation lol! What do you play?

See!? That's what is happening to me! I'm staring at all the things that need to be accomplished around this house of mine. But, they will have to wait. I mean--they've waited this long, right!? I'm not so good at that mysterious thing called "patience".

My PS removed the surgical strips and snipped external stitches (cringe not needed--sounds worse then the actual experience) and removed my drains at my 1 week post op visit. He was able to remove the drains because the fluid output was minimal--down to 1/2 teaspoon! I expected worse...but my body handled that part well.

Two physical issues that I'm struggling with now are swelling and the "electrical" sensations jumping around my skin. It has only been 17 days since my surgery so I'm still swollen and the more I move and use my arms, well, the more swelling I experience. The electrical sensations are not painful at all but they are incredibly strange. Nerves healing, I guess. Tylenol help both.

I'm a singer/songwriter. Play guitar and piano. I just played my Luna (my most favorite guitar) yesterday. Felt so good to not manipulate my huge D boobs behind the guitar!

Wow your drains were in for week? They say mine will come out next morning... we'll see. I'm going to put some flannels in the freezer as I've heard that cool/cold packs can help with swelling and healing. I looked online but decided I'll go old school!

I haven't heard of Tylenol. I'll check it out, thanks.

I haven't heard of Luna guitars either so will check out those too. I play too - I'm concerned about playing guitar after - I won't be doing my Pete Townsend windmill for a few weeks haha! I play percussion too so I'll have to go easy on my next gig or two. I'd love to hear your material but I understand if you want to stay anonymous.

Can you tell if your new shape is as you'd hoped for yet? Please keep in touch. I think it's only you and I having both explant and lift here at the moment - I may be wrong though xxxxxxx

My daughter stopped by--sorry for the delay. The shape of my breasts is beautiful. The swelling is on the side of my breasts--can't wait until all the swelling is gone!

I'm glad your shape is so good. Hopefully the swelling will subside soon. Keep us posted xx
