Dysport for Bunny Lines and Now Can't Move Upper Lip

asked 2 years ago by Marina123 in England

Question viewed 504 times
I had botox to treat my bunny lines approximately 3weeks ago. My clinician used dysport which I've never had before. About a week ago the left side of my face from my nose to my lip feels 'strange' and I can't move the left side of my upper lip. Is this as a result of treatment? Can it be corrected or how long will it be before I get movement back?

Upper lip weakness

Botox

Both Botox and Dysport are neurotoxins One of the complications of either is spread of the material to Adjacent muscle and subsequent weakness of that muscle , in your case it is the muscle that lifts the upper lip. That is why choosing a Plastic Surgeon who knows every small muscle in the face and has studied it and its function is your best bet. Choose your Plastic Surgeon carefully.
