Any other "big girls" out there that have had a mommy makeover?

I am 38 years old, 5'7" and currently weigh about 240 lbs. I just lost about 10 lbs since mid October. I got up to about 280 with my last pregnancy then dropped to around 250 after delivery and been stuck there ever since. I recently scheduled a mommy makeover for April 1st. I will be getting a tummy tuck with muscle repair and breast implants. I had full term twin girls in 2007 (6 lbs 1 oz & 6 lbs 14 oz) and then last year had a 10 lb baby boy. I have always been a big girl, but I want to get to around 200 by the time I have surgery. My PS said as long as I don't expect or am trying to get "skinny" there is no reason for me not have a TT now. All of my fat is in the front and I have a small waist, wide hips and a big butt, so I'm hoping I end up with a nice hourglass figure. I've been looking for other ladies built like myself getting a TT so I can have a realistic goal.

Ladies, I thought I would give a husband's perspective on a mommy makeover. My wife and I have three wonderful daughters to whom she's devoted her life to, not to mention putting up with me for the last 25 years. My wife is going to be 45 years old this year. She is 5' 7" and has gone from 290lbs. to 220lbs. She intends to be 205lbs. at time of surgery at the end of May 2013. My wife is comfortable in her size. SHE HAS & LOVES HER CURVES - And so do I. She'll never be a size 7, nor would does want to. Besides being a little heavy (by other peoples standards), she's quite healthy. The kids, weight loss, and age has left her with excess skin and sagging. It's time for her to do something for herself. I completely support her. SHE DESERVES IT. Procedures that are being considered are: tummy tuck, lipo on the flanks, and breast aug/lift. We are still doing multiple consultations in Orange County, CA. I think these procedures will take a beautiful woman to a full figured super model! Ladies, if you're uncertain when you're ready to have some work done... Ask yourself these questions: 1. Are you trying to get to unrealistic weight because some chart tells you what you should weigh? 2. Are you trying to look like some image that society makes you try to become? If your expectations are realistic, any procedure done will only enhance your beauty and give you more confidence. Best of luck to you all. This site has been so helpful! I am currently 190 lbs and going in for surgery in less than 2 months. I have always been a big girl and don't mind that. I want a flatter tummy and boobs that stand up! I.will.never be tiny@! I was 140 in 6th grade and just want to be a sexier thick girl!! The doctor said I am totally healthy and good to go!! Good luck!!

I am having my surgery in three weeks (YAY!) and currently weigh 205. I hope to be around 195 when I go. I have a beautiful hourglass figure - except I have 48 hours instead of 24. ;) I've lost nearly 100 lbs, so I have a LOT of hanging flab, fat, and skin. I'm hoping to get a nice, flat stomach, which will make me look at least 50 lbs thinner!

48 hours!..........that is TOO funny, love it. Congrats on the weight loss. I give you a lot of credit. How are you feeling so close to surgery?

I wish it was just here already! I'm ready to get the body I've worked my whole life to get. What about you? What are your plans?

I made a friend here on RealSelf who is using the same PS as I am. Her surgery is on 12/17. I am actually going with her to her pre-op consultation tomorrow. The Dr. doesn't know we know each other yet, so it'll be interesting :-) I am also planning to be there for her sx. This will be really great for me to be a part of her journey since I don't know anyone else who has done it, and ESPECIALLY since we are using the same PS. I am soooo excited for the both of us. I wish I could do it sooner, but 119 days (yes, I am counting down) will be here before I know it (I hope).

Before I got pregnant again, I was 5'6 and 180-185 when I had a couple consultations. Both surgeons told me I was a good candidate. I know that doesn't necessarily answer your question because I am still a few months away from my mommy makeover as I am 8 months pregnant. I had an appointment today and weighed 218.4 so I have some weight to lose after pregnancy.

Wow, you ARE planning ahead. Girl, that's baby weight though :-) You'll lose that once you have the baby! But I hear you.
