Has anyone had any experience with a belly piercing after a TT? I presently have one, but I am schedules for a TT in March 2011. How long after a TT do you think we can have a belly piercing? Thanks. Foliebergère

I had my tummy tuck in July 2009 not sure how long I waited to pierce my BB but it had to be at least a year. Well I have had at least 4 piercings all rejected! I refuse to give up as this is one of my ways of remembering my 15 year old daughter who was killed! I am hoping after 4 years it wont be rejected. Good luck to you all....

I talked to a man at a tattoo shop hr said he successfully pierced someone with a tummy tuck. But I am allergic to certain types of metal so he said use plastic or titanium. Have any of you tried these or just standard surgical steal?

Make sure that they don't get the piercing in your scar. I had mine done after and my body rejected it and pushed it out. I think it was because it came through the scar. But still thinking about trying a again lol..

Hi and thanks for the information. I will probably wait a year to make sure everything is back to normal!

I was told by a physician to wait 9-12 months before doing any belly button piercing or tattoos on the tummy or hips.

Funny. My belly button was pierced before my surgery. Now it's not. Kinda like being brand new again!

Hmm, have you asked your surgeon this question?
