White Pockets and Drainage After Tummy Tuck
I had a tummy tuck three weeks ago and I have white pockets in my belly button and some drainage (not foul smelling). Is this normal? What is the white stuff? I also started having some discharge (not foul smelling) from my incision and a small hole has opened up. It looks like I have some bruising starting under the incision. Is this the start of necrosis? I am a non smoker.

Drainage after Tummy Tuck
Any drainage 3 weeks after a tummy tuck should be investigated. Make sure you notify your PS about this situation. The drainage could be any of the following:
Seroma
infection
Hematoma
Fat necrosis
The treatment for the each is different, and even though not an emergency, you should be seen and evaluated urgently.
