Caring for the belly button after tummy tuck

I am one week post op and I am not sure what I can and cant do. My doctors office says I can take showers normally, but I am concerned about how to care for my belly button, any advice?

Can you gauze/tape your belly button while you shower so it stays dry? This might be a good question for your doctor's office. Here is what some of the doctors on RealSelf have to say.
