I had Juvederm injected in the deep creases between my brows and in the creases above my lip area where they were quite deep from smoking? That was only 6 weeks ago but I still cant smile and when i speak it sounds like i have no teeth. My under eyes are puffy and swollen. Does anyone know how long before these problems will subside or do i have to wait for the year the doctor said it takes to leave my system.? The injections were the most severe pain i have EVER experienced in my life.

Juvederm made my eyes swollen and baggy, festoony baggy. What is more, I had gray discoloration under both eyes. After three months, I still looked like a monster. I wore large rimmed eyeglasses the whole depressing time. Then when I couldn't stand it anymore, I got two or three hyalurondaise injections. That got some of the swelling down, but left abnormal dents and damaged normal tissue...lots of it. Eyes looked worse and devastasted. The discoloration persisted. Six months later, I submitted to expensive fat grafting to repair some of the damage and save my sanity. I endured two-three months of pain and bruising. The trauma to this delicate area really hurts. Afterwards, I received nothing but compliments from complete strangers on how good I looked. It has been a year and a half now and I need a little more fat. Of course, I knew when I had this repair done that it always take two procedures to get it perfect. Well, it will never be perfect; the fat is slightly lumpy, but looks natural enough. I am happy with the results under the circumstances. I still have some discoloration under my right eye only, but that skin has always been a problem area for me, more so after the damage from Juvederm and hyalurondase. I wear a good eye cream, apply C powder and E at night, and use cover up make up. Recently, I've begun taking a hyaluronic acid-collagen supplement. I don't know if this will benefit the skin around my eyes.

Don't do Juvederm, especially around your eyes. I had a bad experience with it. The company that makes Juvederm doesn't recommend it for eye troughs, saying it is too robust for this delicate area. Doctors for some reason continue to use it. I wouldn't use it anywhere on my face.

All I can say is don't do it. Remember one thing, anyone who has something to gain from you getting injected with juvederm will never tell you the negative stuff....manufacturers of the product, injectors, promoters, etc. I have had a horrible experience with juvederm in the lips and it's ongoing and I can't get answers or treatment and it's affecting my life dramatically. There are a lot of reviews online of bad experiences, take them seriously and then make your decision, but do not fluff these bad reviews from people off because you want something so badly, anyone who tells you there are no side effects and no possible reactions or complications are simply lying to your face.

Hi there I had juverderm injection last week. I had it in the nasal labial folds. I can tell you I have had filler done before and have never experienced what I am going through my artery was hit and it is an absolute disaster . Face turned blue and purple and I have a small spot of necrotic skin. Dr told me when I returned the next day not to worry nothing to be concerned about . Having many friends in the industry I immediately went to see them. Hylaronadaze was injected prednisone and antibiotics- an absolute disaster . The vascular flow to my skin is better now still really red and small spot of necrotic skin. So upset and disappointed that a plastic surgeon with many years of traing was unable to see the problem !!!

In order to find the information you are looking for it might be best for you to look at the reviews specifically from people who have had Juvederm around the mouth and eyes and have marked their review "Not Worth It". You can do that by using the tags available near the middle of the main Juvederm page. I hope that helps you find the information you are after.
