What can be done for my awful under-eye problem?

By artemis on 28 Feb 2010

After reading your articles about dark circles under the eyes I came to the conclusion that I got hereditary thin eyelid skin, visible blood vessels and also...an arcus deformity. It sounds and looks horrible. I can see them even in a picture from kindergarten.

I NEVER go out without a thick layer of concealer and foundation. I'm 15 (my biggest dream is to look in the mirror and don't see them).

What can I do to get rid of this?

Hi artemis,

Glad you found our article helpful. Here are some related Doctor Q&A pages that specifically address arcus marginalis release and fat repositioning. As far as I'm aware, this is the most common surgical treatment for an arcus deformity (things like fillers would be temporary):

Arcus marginalis release, Fat grafting permanent under eye solution?

Arcus marginalis release and fat grafting cost?

Possible long-term effects from Arcus marginalis release?

Transconjunctival blepharoplasty vs arcus marginalis release

Please keep us posted on what you decide to do and good luck!
