Hello all! So happy to see some of you here! I'm reading your comments and I completely relate. Especially Suzabelle and the dishwasher comment! Ha! So true! I'm happy with my results. I apparently have "stretchy skin" and I will go back next August to have a little tuck at the bottom of my tt where my scar is. It's a touch saggy down there. I think my surgeon and I are the only ones who would notice it. It's out patient so no big deal. My butt and thighs got so much bigger post tt! The butt I'm okay with but I've always had skinny legs. I need to exercise. *sigh*. Other than that, happy and not one bit of regret! We are getting ready to move from Fl. To SC in a few weeks for my husbands job and I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure I will get my act together and start working out there, right? That's what I'm telling myself, anyway. ;)

Wow, Snidera, moving is big stuff; good luck with that. Will you come back to FL for your TT tweak in August? For some reason I was thinking I went back to my PS this month, but it's not until April, so more time for my dog ears to flatten. Still feel tight and pinchy sometimes and sore along my incision. I'm up about 2 lbs. since my surgery and PS said he took about 3 lbs. off, so I'm up 5 from when I had the surgery and I feel every ounce of it. I'm short, so doesn't take much. Heading for a workout now and with the SB on Sunday, and all the yummy, fatty food that goes with it, I'd better get cranking!

Hi Ladies..it's been quite some time being in touch here, Happy New Year to all, I see some if not most of you guys have been having the I'm not like the scar issue..well you can include me in that as well..as I went in to my last visit sometime in Dec. I did bring it to the attention of my PS that I noticed a rather bothersome bulge along the line of my incision which I am not at all happy with..seems to me like it may be built up scar tissue but I'm totally flat on the left side and with this ugly bulge on the right. Well low and behold I was in the ER Christmas day, found out I have gallstones..I will be having surgery for that on the 25th of this month which will be done laparascopic however here we go again messing with the belly button. I havent talked to my surgeon yet but I'm hoping since this is being done that maybe he can also take away that bulge..if not then I will be returning to my PS sometime in March as discussed to have this problem taken care of. Other wise things have been pretty good. I now weigh 107 and have been trying to tone up the rest of my body to match my flat stomach. I do occassionally feel the tightness/stretching in my abs when I reach for say something on a bookself, higher place, not sure if that's normal but my numbness has pretty much gone away. Hopefully come Summer time..I'll be just where I want. Good luck to all.
suzzabelle 16 Jan 2013
Sorry to hear you have to undergo another surgery! Hope all goes well and you recover quickly. Christmas Day in the ER?? Ugh.
AlexandraElizabeth 16 Jan 2013
thanks Suzzabelle..I'm sure I'll be okay..just when ya finally getting over one thing..something else pops up..lol it's inevitable for me..just a spoon full of sugar i guess. ;) Hope you're doing great..take care!

Hi Ladies, Love reading all your stories and seeing how you are doing! So I am glad everyone is checking in now that we are all nearing the 5 month mark. I am doing great. My weight is down, I am about 112 consistently now so I am happy about that. I have been watching what I eat and trying to make good decisions. My arms and legs are thinner so I am so excited about that. I even wore a short dress for NYE and that isnt normal for me! I usually hate my knees showing. I still get pain all along my muscle repair when I sneeze. I hate that. For the most part I think all my swelling is gone.

Hello all! I originally started out on this site as an august TT but had to change at the last minute to Sept 13. I haven't been on a lot in the past 4 months everything just got bad after my surgery. My most important woman in my life (my nana) passed away Oct 3 that week I was not even a month post op and fle from TX to Washington state to be with my family for her funeral the day we said goodbye my husband called to say the mass they had found in his fathers liver was in fact cancer..it moved fast and while I was home still trying to recoup from surgery my husband was 4 hours away watching his father die...he passed on November 10. Needless to say my recovery was long and draining! I feel great now..my scar is higher then I expected and I was pretty upset about it but its getting lighter and I just cant stay mad when my stomach is so flat! lol at month 3 I was finally able to complete a total work out including push ups and planks. Still very numb from the belly button down. I see my surgeon this Thursday for a follow up

So sorry to hear about your heartaches; you have my deepest sympathies. I lost a dear uncle 2 weeks PO and just could not make the 3 hour drive for the services. I was also being extremely vigilant about not developing a blood clot (DVT) and my doc did not want me traveling at all for the first month.

I'm about 4 months 3 weeks. I have not posted much but feel like I know all of you gals. I have read just about every post since August! I'm reading a lot about thighs! I can tell you all that it is not an illusion for me. My thighs and butt have definitely gotten bigger. It's very discouraging, because I exercise and eat extremely well. Do you think it could be that there is still some swelling in that area? Or holding water? I cannot believe that I have created another problem by fixing one. I'm very upset about it. I could hide my ugly waist, but its not as easy to hide these thighs and behind! Anyways. What are y'all's thoughts? I'm also not as skinny in my waist as I had hoped I would be. I read a lot about you all having bruising on your sides in the earlier months, from the lipo. I did not have bruising. I almost feel like my doctor may not have done the lipo at all. Ugh
sicilianprincess 14 Jan 2013
Hi. I had bruising in my waist (my TT was done in August). I also feel my doc probably could have been more aggressive w/ the lipo cuz my waist is not as I hoped. Hence, I'm going in feb 1 for lipo of my flanks. Not something I'm thrilled about, but I'll never be happy w/ these live handles. My doc said they are more noticeable now w/ the tummy gone. Makes sense, but I'm still not happy about it. It's like these extra "hips" above my actual hips. Ugh!!!!!! I got an increase on my care credit at 18 months interest free...so it helps with the unanticipated cost. Plus, I'm getting local anesthesia rather than general, so $750 I saved by not having an anesthesiologist. Plus, I don't want general again. Oh, my doc also said that during the TT, the patient is on their back so he can only get so far back to lipo the flanks.
Mouse2012 30 Jan 2013
Sicilianprincess Your lipo date is coming up...let us know how you do......I am considering a touch up lipo of hips too along with saddlebags..I figure if I have gone this far lets just do it...but not what I had planned since I am really starting to feel like myself after 5 months even though I still have numbness from from the TT and some swelling here and there...anyone else out there from August have follow up lipo???? Hope everyone is doing well..
tjuana 30 Jan 2013
Hey guys. I too am still numb. I go to see my ps on the 12th. I have one dog ear. I feel as if I'm not flat enough. So I will discuss the possibility of getting lipo. But overall I am happy with my results. I also want to do my saddle bags but I've been working on them and they seem to be shrinking.
Beesgirl 30 Jan 2013
You look amazing!

Thanks!

Hey Mouse2012, I got my lipo on Feb 1. I did it under local. I was fine. I brought my daughter to drive me as it was required because I took a valium and some other pain pill (I think percoset) prior to the surgery (to relax me). It took about 1.5 hour. It wasn't painful at all, just kinda weird. I could feel movement inside my skin and my doc's hands on my back. There was a slight burning sensation near my hips when he was in that area, but, really, nothing major. Nothing worth dealing with general anesthesia. I do have a high tolerance for pain though. I didn't realize it until I had kids and then that realization was enforced after my tt. If you go to my profile, you can see pics of the before and after of the flanks (lipo), I am glad I did it. It is much improved in that area. So worth it!!

Hi today is 8/1/2013 I'm four months and about two weeks after my initial surgery, I have just returned home after more surgery, I had three, yes three large incisional hernias from my TT, I knew it was a big hernia but didn't realise I had three large ones. I took it really easy after my surgery and didn't return to work quickly so an really disappointed this happened as I now have to take more time to recover, I need to find out now if this is something the surgeon did wrong or does it just happen.has anyone else had anything like this?
bham jenni 8 Jan 2013
How did you know you had a hernia in the first place? I'm experiencing some pain on my right side next to my insicion.
