Hi everyone! I miss hearing how all of you are doing. I went to my ps on Wednesday. He was so happy with how I've healed that he released me from care. The girls have shaped up nicely. Hubby likes them, too. (wink) For the first time in my life, I own printed bras with formed cups that only have two hooks. Whoo hoo!! But now I know how big my tummy is. :( Hugs to everyone! Have a happy holiday season.

Hi 2big2long now just right! Lovely to hear from you!!!!! I see my PS for my 3 month check up on 30th Nov. My boobs are looking good- still getting there as I have some arm pain (nerve issues) which i am sure will settle down. My other half loves my boobs too! I'm still in my Genie Bra's as i haven't bought new ones yet but those i have looked at also have 1 -or 2 hooks!!! Yippee!! 1 or 2 hooks? Can you believe it???! I want a balconette bra for my work Christmas night out but I am really enjoying my new boobs and new clothes which my brain can't perceive properly! I looked at a gorgeous glittery top and instantly picked out a UK size 20... then my brain kicked in that my boobs are now a large B small C.... So I looked again.... and picked out a 12. I thought 'i'll never get in that'! and yet I did. Amazing!! Bought it there and then amongst other things!! I wish i had done this decades ago but i have booked Tango lessons with my man and i have lovely dresses and clothes for xmas when i go out... no more big baps to get in the way!!! Like you i have one issue... my tummy looks big. I will (once i'm 6 months post op) i'll be eating healthily and doing abdominal exercises to get it down. Lovely to 'hear' from you babes and if I don't hear from you before xmas, lots of love and happy holidays! x x

Deb uk, I'm sorry you're still having nerve pain. What a wonderful story of being able to go from a size 20 to a 12!! I have to get busy on the tummy issue. My son is getting married the first week of next May. Now that I have small boobs, it looks like maternity dresses would fit me the best - LOL! Can't look like I'm preggers at his wedding, so it's a strict diet and exercise or a good set of undergarments for me! If you learn any abdominal exercises that really work, please let me know. :) Enjoy the tango lessons!!

Hi babes! A pilates move is best. I did this after my C-Sections as i am lazy and don't like gyms! Lie on your back, knees bent and body supported. (I do mine in bed) Pull up your pelvic floor muscles (i think in the US they call them Kegal exercises?)then pull in your abdominal muscles but without holding your breath. Hold for a count to ten and relax. Do this each night increasing the number you do every 3 days by 5. Practise the pelvic floor muscles as often as you can. If you follow a good eating plan (no junk...my weakness is chocolate and puddings...) too you will find your abdo will decrease. As i haven't seen mine in years...its been a shock how flabby it is! It was once the 'smallest part' of my body! Now I am 'bottom heavy' and its great! I like you just want the flabby tummy to go! Great to know you are doing well. I am sure the nerve pain will go its just a nuisance. I was worried at one point but now i am monitoring it its getting less. Hope you call in on here now and then! I will as I would like to help others just as you and everyone helped me. x x

Omgoodness! My stomach is ginormous. I'm kinda okay now, but for a while there I had some serrrrrious self esteem issues. I still kinda do, but now that I'm all closed up I can get to working out. I still have soreness and the scar tissue areas are painful but things are well. Congrats on your new bras!! I just got a new bra from the Fashion bug going out of business sale. amazing!

TwisaP , so glad to hear you're all closed up and things are well! I have a feeling we're not the only three in our group with "suddenly big" tummies. :) Deb, I'm going to try those exercises and I'll let you know.

I just found this site and wish I knew about it earlier. My PS never said anything about sleeping in a bra ! All he said was find a sports bra which I couldn't find until 7 weeks post op! He sent me home wrapped for 5 days and I just went braless pretty much until 6-7 weeks later. I hope I haven't ruined them!!!! I haven't slept for days worrying about this!

Don't worry about it - every PS is different, may be yours didnt think you need to sleep in a bra...have you had pain when sleeping? Do you have pain now? If something does not feel right then go back to your PS and tell him..you might as well ask him about the sleeping in bra thing and puts your mind at ease. or start wearing a very comfy bra now :) see whether you feel better or makes any difference...don't crack your brain over it go for the answer and you will feel a weight is lifted of your shoulder..I hope all will turn out good for you!

Thanks! I am wearing sports bras now- geez do they ever bother those incision areas on the side! I am going to look for some of the tube kind cause I think the sides will be wider. My sister had beat it into my that is done is done and just just wear them now. I am still much smaller than I was! I really didn't get any post op instructions and I guess I should have asked more questions. When I see him I am going to ask. I have had a great recovery other than that :) thanks again

my doc told me to get a crop top...I will post a photo of it to my diary cos it is SOOOOOOOO COMFY! at first I thought it looks rubbish and will not do any good to me but after having tried on various sport tops and post op bras...this is far the BEST! See if you can get something like that - might help a tiny bit :)
Katwoman 6 Oct 2012
Okay, thanks again for all your help!
