Any August Breast Reductions?

By Iowa71 on 04 Aug 2011

I'm scheduled for August 17...less than 2 weeks now. I've been waiting for the nerves and panic to set in that so many people talk about, but so far I'm doing pretty well. Hope I can breeze through the next couple of weeks!

I just had my reduction on Monday 8/29/11 they took almost 20lbs of breast tissue. My surgeon was Dr Coleen Stic in Omaha NE. I loved her she took me from a 46 L to a full D cup bot sure how full I'm still in my breast binder. It any D is netters then L. Im not very tall either only 5' 6". I work as a nurse so carring around 20 extra pounds was a lot. My Insurance co paid the while thing I didn't have to come out of pocket for anything. Best Choice I ever made.

Just make sure you make the most of sleeping on your front/side. It'll be the last time for a few days!
I've still not managed it but am living in hope it will be tonight!
Still happy :-)

Thanks, Aitchcov! I am getting super excited. Told my husband that I was hoping for a really good night's sleep tonight, because I don't know how I will ever sleep tomorrow night! I'm almost giddy with excitement...

I would just be grateful to have my reduction approved and scheduled. Had to appeal my insurance denial.... so very sad and frustrated. Hope all goes well for you Iowa 71;) You will love them I'm sure!

Thanks, Micki! Good luck with your appeal! Was there something specific that your insurance is requiring?

I am sure you sill do fine.
Just takes some time, prepare some things that you can do in the first few weeks afterwards, I am being driven mad by having to take things easy!
Just about to start a jigsaw as it is raining outside!

Hi Aitchcov! How are you feeling? I guess if you are going crazy by taking it easy that your recovery must be going ok. Hope all is well!

Everything is fine, I think.
Still very briused underneath and so today is my first day back at work.
Need to go out and buy a soft bra at lunchtime so I can sleep in tit. The support bras I need to wear for 3 months are not that comfortable and stop me sleeping.
Just 9 days to go for you?!!!
